Not advisable to turbo a non turbo TD42? I’ve known personally about 15 GQs and GUs, 4 of which I have owned... initially naturally aspirated and running/ran around 12-15psi and none of them have had any issues. Crank and Pistons is a huge amount of work and more importantly a huge amount of $$$$$ for the slight extra performance IMHO. The TD42 doesn’t NEED all this work to stay reliable and turboed.

Hi mate, you pointed out the difference in the crank, from an factory N/A crankshaft to a factory Turbo crankshaft, but was that a black top N/A or silver top N/A? Cheers

The cranks on all N/A TD42’s, blacktop or silver are the exact same. Apparently some late model blacktops had stronger cranks though, don’t know if as strong as TD42T cranks though.
