I'm still working on my twin VNT project. Using copper nickel for the oil pressure lines, also using brazing but 56% silver type. Similar banjo fittings, identical drain flanges. This is on a V8 so two oil returns. There was considerably more work on the intake manifold as the stock air filter is retained. This preserves the outside air intake for cool air. Halfway done on the exhaust manifolds as I am using individual flanges to reduce thermal expansion stress. All 304 stainless, flange to tube is seal welded inside, top and bottom stitch. This assures port matching but slows assembly. Using the actual heads as strong back jig.

loving the build so far man. Just so you're aware, you need a restrictor in the oil feeds. Depending on the turbo, it is sometimes in the fitting. Failing that you can buy restrictors through speedflow or similar. Not sure if you'll have troubles a with pooling in the turbo drain a trying to merge the two together. Keep an eye on a that on first start up. Don't want to flood them. Also a straight edge over all your manifold faces and face them if required. Good luck with the build.

nice video mate, I was also considering copper oil lines for the turbo due to good malleability and cheap, however from research it is suggested that copper acts as a catalyst for oil oxidation. I don't suppose you'll be getting and oil analyses done? good work anyway and keep us up to date!

Interesting, I hadn't considered that. A quick search didn't bring up anything too nefarious, plus manufacturers run copper lines, plus with all the oxidation caused by combustion I suspect that will still dictate the oil change interval. Thanks for making me look into it though.

I'm a fan of your content. Although you may notice in the short term period of operation that your copper lines will start to corrode quite easily. You may need to redo them with brass.
