You can also channge the main potentiometer for one with two (or more) times higher resistance. This will allow for much more precise regulation

I am not sure a tda1085c can do 1kw, you shoudl check the datasheet, most washing machine universal motors are 300w

That's a DC motor controller, your not going to have any torque at lower rpm,a vfd is needed

Hi Joe, It is an AC motor controller. Based around the TDA1085c chip. It seems to handle the start up torque load of my heavy sandstone pretty well.
