Awesome repair Dave, made it easy to have a second one and a schematic/block diagram...like your description "geek glasses", I may have to "borrow" that verbiage! :) ~Jack, VEG

I wish I didn't have to use them but my 'tin years' demand it. The schematic I used is actually just the test layout in the datasheet. I found one for the NJM2035 too that has some extra stuff on the output to clean up the 19KHz, make it a sine wave, and also to knock down the 56KHz product. I might make a video of that too. I also ordered a much more complicated Decoder kit which I will be making a video of once it gets here from China. It uses the 3401 which you can still buy.

Interesting project. I might have to build one. Crazy that LPFM in the US can't advertise. Here in New Zealand we don't have that restriction - any LPFM is free to run whatever commercials they like.

I agree. I don't know why it is like that either. I knew there were reasons I always wanted to move to NZ. When Bill Clinton was elected my wife went as far as to send off for immigration papers.

@@AERVBlog Still plenty of room here! Let me know when you're on your way, there's a nice spectrum analyzer over there you could pack into your luggage for me! Ha ha.
