They lied to you multiple times the past few years, and their current battle pass scheme fucking sucks. At least XDefiant has an excuse for not being as good because it is a whole new IP. My brother has all the skins in the original, and if it wasn't for Xbox he would have lost all of those skins he spent years grinding for. Mark Rubin is at least being as honest as possible. Fortnite had the same issue with PUBG, but they couldn't wait to release because GoW was down and almost dead if it wasn't for Fortnite, so they released it on Beta. Some with Minecraft before it became a full fledged game. Games are hard to develop, and I hope they send out the games when it is done. No more waiting a full year for all the content, no more BS battle pass system that more than encourage you to spend at least $200 if you want to get "All the good skins." Aka P2W. MW3 is going to be the new worst CoD ever, and it won't be the game's fault. It just wasn't suppose to be a game.

The head director just few days ago said they were hard at work and excited to announce and drop the game. Which got people hyped up again. The thing about splitgate that makes it way different than xdefiant is that splitgate had been around since before modern warfare 2019 even came out. I played the earliest version in August of 2019 and even have the name title to prove it. People suddenly realized it was a good game and flocked to it years after it came out because of the bad state of CoD, similar to xDefiant, but we had a fairly dedicated community even before that.

XDefiant is gonna be fire. It might not have a huge release, but from what it looks like, the devs for the game actually give a shit about the community feedback and that will make the game better in the long term

Xdefiant betas were actually Betas where as people are still conned and think the CoD betas are stuff like "Alpha builds" or thats the exact state the games shipping in with a day 1 30+gb patch. If youve ever seen proper Alpha and Beta builds of games youll soon realise public Beta / pre order beta is marketting talk for Early Demo of the completed product.
