TDG: Battletech Mercenaries Box unboxing with Ray

I'm still a newbie to Battletech. I bought two starter sets last year The beginners one and Battletech: Game of Armored Combat boxset. Thought both boxes were value for money compared to Games Workshop wargames. Now trying to decide what box to get next Clans or Alpha Strike. I must admit i do like the heat management of the classic rules but noticed that Alpha Strike is more popular

Get Alpha Strike. Much easier and quicker to play than classic Battletech.

Alpha strike was suggested but I am not a real fan of that. Make it more a table top miniatures game. I prefer classic Battletech. I suggest Battletech the game of armored combat box. This will get you what you need. There is the beginner box but that is really basic. However worth it for the maps and minis.
