I love this game. The aesthetic and Classic Universal Monsters sold me almost at once when it released. It’s one of the few games I own that I will never turn down a chance to play; easy to teach, easy to play, interesting to play, and genuinely fun. I never get that feeling of, “Well, I don’t really feel like that this time...” like I do with some of my other games. I also call it, “Arkham Horror Lite” because, to me anyway, it feels like AH3 with all the complexity stripped away. LoL

I like this quite a bit and like you Cody, I'm a huge fan of classic horror monsters (the Universal boxed set is right over here by my PC as I type this!). It's quite fun even if it's very simple and light. I love heavy games like Star Fleet Battles and World in Flames, but light games can be a nice way to mix things up and not have to have 5 hour turns!

I just got this game maybe 2 weeks ago and so far I really enjoy it. The only thing I don't like is the cardboard standees for the hero markers, but I can get some generic pawns and replace them no problem. On the topic of subscribing, does since I'm already subscribed does that mean I need to unsubscribe and then resubscribe in order to not be a monster?

There is an unofficial Phantom apparently - BoardGameGeek mentions it - and I believe there is a virtual version on Steam that incorporates it into the scripted game.
