I'm enjoy the reviews of the expansions. I don't have all of them. Question: How does combat work in the team PvP game when Super Heroes and Zombie Heroes occupy the same zone? Is it just rolling dice like normal but the health of your opponent's character is their toughness?

Yes, except that no hero may have more than three strength points total, and each strength point has a toughness of two. So it takes two dice hits to score one damage.

Question, Can you use all the expansion characters in the core games?

Yes. It's all compatible.

Can you play the expansion with only one core box? If youre not trying to do vs mode.

In addition to the vs. mode scenarios, the expansion comes with two hero mode and two zombie mode scenarios. Also, you can use the characters here with other scenarios from other sets as well.

You need the core box AND xmen resistance? That can’t be right…

You do if you want to play the vs. mode. You can still use the stuff in this expansion to play one way or the other, but for vs. you need both.
