At the 1.51 minute mark you get a good view of the pilot jet screws at the bottom of the floatbowl. I've been searching for a whole day to figure out where these were hidden. Thank you very much!

Your bike looks in really good condition, on my old bikes the only thing without any corrosion is the Registration document.....every bolt is a challenge....

It is in pretty condition and all the bolts com free without any problems but i have to remove the swing arm soon and im not looking forward to that lower shock bolt, its never been off and its looking pretty rusty, iv also had some real challenging bikes in the past, the worst being the GT550 brat that i did, that had been sitting in bad weather for 5 years +

I wondered if it had one of those ' Castle ' nuts in the Swingarm, both the Suzuki SV650 and Honda CBR600F have one, so just bought a special socket off ebay to undo them... forgot to mention I'll be checking the valves, and doing a Compression test...on both bikes. Took 3 months to find out how to undo the nut on the XJ600 when I removed the Swingarm last Autumn....

Not sure whether you have it over there or not, but I hit the rusted bits with PB Blaster, wait 5-10 minutes and they're usually much less troublesome. Houston, TX here. Really appreciate you taking the time to cover this part, but I do wish there were less skipped sections. My carbs need cleaning and the throttle cable needs replacing. Was looking forward to watching this so I could see how it all came together. Cheers.

Im glad you liked the video and im sorry i didnt record everything, some of the jobs take a long time and others are a bit more tedious so it's not always possible to record, if i was doing a "how to" video then i would have gone into much more detail, also thanks for the tip on using PB Blaster, i'll bare that in mind for the next job

Please help I did the same service as per the video but in my haste can't remember what connected to inlet/outlet. Around the 3:00 mark on the video; "Yammyxj600" has a hose connected to 2 unions. (probably to prevent the ingress of dirt). The union at the top of the screen is the fuel inlet (with the white filter insert)....but what the heck is the other union for? (the other end of the bent hose) is it a fuel return. where does that connect to? Thanks in advance guys. PS love the video!

Hello, did you find out what is connected to this joint ? I've got the same problem here. I would really appreciate your answer.

Great video you made there! very instructive. Right now doing this carburetor fuel level check. In my Haynes manual , in order to fill the carburetor, one should let the motor run for 1 or 2minutes. I thought it was possible to just fill the carburator without having to connect it and turn on the engine. Do you have more info on how you did the refill of hte carbs. I just connected the fuel inlet to a temporary plastic bottle that I would fill with fuel..but for some reason I dont get much inside the carbs. I did clean the floating chamber everything was moving correctly..Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks in advance for your precious advice.

Quick question, How did you get the right angle for the float height on the bench?

Hi there! i have a problem with mine 4tx, it has a rev lag between 2 and 3k, mix screw set on 2.5 revolution, jet needle on middle position and when i rev it up it chokes between 2-3k and runs fine over 3k. Carbs were ultrasonic cleaned, all o-rings replaced, only throttle diaphragm and air cut diaphragm are old. I also repaired broken choke tube on one of carbs. Sparkplugs are back. It would seem like it gets to lean between 2-3k cause if i cover carbs inlets when reving il behaves much better, meaning this rev lag is not so obvious. I am thinking about replacing throttle diaphragm but old ones are soft and not damaged anyway. Do you have any ideas what to check before getting into "spent $" mode? Regards!
