I love media like yours which helps inform those of us who, for one reason or another, can't work their way through a huge wall of text. Been stoked for this game from the start, a shame my energy didn't allow me for much interaction or playtesting, but guess that's one of the things that (often) happen with age. My playtesting times are mostly over. Can't wait to actually play the game. Just need a guide who can help me fight through the textwall (or just wait a bit longer). I'll be lurking in the MCDM lfg section.

As Matt always says: the longer you wait, the better the game gets. Once the book is laid out and has tons of art, I'm sure it will be easier to get into the game :) I'm happy that the podcast helps people stay up to date with the game!

@@the_dice_society honestly, with everything that's been happening over the last year I wouldn't have had much time anyway. Not sure if I told you before, but kudos on your accent. I can't place it though I feel I should, even so if feels your English isn't your first language. (or maybe it is and I'm just daft)

Yeah, English is not my first language. Thanks for the compliment!

I am glad they are launching with adventures. Idk how Mercer and co seemed to have missed that part.

The new channel icon is giving big J.R.R Tolkien signature vibes. Thanks for the shoutout! I wonder if I should make a video showing off the Fantasy Grounds Unity ruleset...

That is exactly what I was going for :P It also doubles as a sword with a fancy guard. I think you should make a video! I've been having a lot of fun making mine.

Ouço todas as meses. Eu ouvi Goblin Points, eu não sabia que você era do Brasil. Sou inglês, mas falo um pouco de português porque a minha mulher é de Portugal. Continuem o bom trabalho.

I wonder if the newcomer adventure like Fabula Ultimum. It does a good job of introducing play mechanics as the adventure progresses.

Surges, etc sound like fate points in the Fate game.

But I think that all the changes you’ve mentioned had already been implemented in Backer Packet 2?

Thanks for your efforts to bring this content to KZbin. I am excited for the game. I am anxious about the wealth rules however. As previously shown (wealth rising inline with level) they are unacceptable and will require me to rewrite them. I’ve been thinking about this and I have a clear plan but haven’t had the time and priority to get them out. I’m envisioning Directors awarding ‘Treasure’ similar to victories which transforms into ‘wealth’ At a respite. And the ability to drop down tiers of wealth to fund extraordinary purchases. This would allow for getting rich to be a separate reward from leveling up, allow for diversity in wealth levels across a party, and allow for wealth to be a tool players use to solve challenges in the adventure. I would love some feedback if they have improved the wealth system or if my ideas may still hold value

Thanks for watching! Wealth rules changed a little and now Wealth is no longer tied to level. Since the Creator License allows the reproduction of rules text, I'll paste the relevant section here: "GAINING WEALTH Each hero starts with a Wealth score of 1 that can be improved by their choice of career during character creation. The hero's Wealth score increases whenever they find and keep a massive amount of monetary treasure, such as a hoard of coins and gems from a dragon's lair or several unique and valuable paintings from a monarch as a reward for a job well done. In general, a hero's wealth score increases about once every other level of play. The Director can increase this rate if they wish. LOSING WEALTH As an optional rule, the Director can allow a hero to make a purchase that is one level above their wealth level. If this occurs, the hero's Wealth score is reduced by 1 after making the purchase."
