When you compare this case with everything resent coming out about the burning sun and a lot of other cases, it really puts in perspective South Korea’s views not only women, but how they choose to portray themselves to the outside world when it comes to their celebrities, K-pop groups and TV shows. It’s also important to note that when you look up places with the most sex trafficking, South Korea is one of those locations.

Y'all, this isn't unique to South Korea... Stephanie is South Korean herself, so alot of the stories come from there, but worldwide the sentencing for child sex offenders is absurdly light. In the Netherlands we don't even have a public paedophile register... Like, I don't know how to break it to you, but the world is run by paedophiles. Crimes like slavery, cannibalism and sexual exploitation of children are committed systematically and internationally. There's just the barest effort to keep it out of sight from the main public. If we're really willing to listen, then please watch any video from Ally Carter, Anneke Lucas or the early videos of Dylan Groves! 🙏

As a female follower of true crime; I don’t watch bc I like it, I watch because it’s happening either way, and I’d rather know what lurks out there. For women, constant preparedness is a necessity. My thought process is that, if someone had to live through it, I can at least handle listening to their story.
