Imo this is a bad idea and ae bonus should be thee only effect and I’m the devils ruin guy bonus reload would be huge for me so you can’t say I am biased against this if anything I’m biased for it

Honestly a very good idea imo but I probably still wouldn’t use it on other classes. The only thing that would compel me to use it is bonus sprint speed tbh

The worst part about mobility right now is that Titans and Warlocks can actually get quicker straight line speeds by dropping their mobility. 💀

(Quick Edit) 44 likes in 4 days!? That has gotta be a record. It’s been like this since forever bro. It was even worse in D1. I would like to see them maybe increase your ability to change direction mid air faster with high mobility along with the reload boost on the hunter and give back to the titans the extra 10% damage reduction we all originally had at max resil when they first changed it. And for warlocks I would like to see a slight reduction in the time it takes for health to start regenerating after not taking damage for a period of time. And I feel like this would fit the power fantasy of each character class pretty well.

I've noticed this too, and it frustrates me a little. Like, how are bulky titans and nerdy Warlocks somehow getting to the next area before I do? Even with Eager Edge and grapple!

Maybe it’s not as much as I think it is but with celestial nighthawk they can do pretty good damage. Then again maybe titans and warlocks and possibly other hunter subclasses can already do more.

Really over simplifying what dodge roll does and assuming it is all team orientated. Titans wall is fairly useless a lot of the time due to having to move around a lot, rally being guttered and it hardly helping against most forms of damage. Well is more or less purely selfish and is a complete waste on a teammate, so you get an easy heal? Which is no better than a wall but is also shadowed by healing abilities or affixes on abilities ect. Damage rift is obsolete and worthless. Hunters however can dodge attacks, reload heavy weapons instantly, turn invisible, get back their charged melee for more damage/infinite combos, can instantly heal themselves, shatter dive, and now aoe clear with it. It's the most useful out of all class abilities with the most usecases for general play, feels better to use and has more combo potential. If anything you think it's like titans dodge but way better, like why do we even have that thing? It's worthless and why do I still equip it every time?

Craziest part is how Hunter’s have less movement abilities than Titans and Warlocks which makes no damn sense. Exactly why I think only Hunters should’ve gotten grapple like they originally planned.

There is literally no reason for bakris to be limited to stasis arc hunters should have blink as a dodge for far more control like it was for blade dancer super Pretty sure roam staff doesn't have the speed boost it once had alongside striker titans

As a hunter main it is a struggle to make sure I get as high stats as I can. But out of all my build possibilities, I have two, to three 100 stats on every build... And mobility is always at 100. A sacrifice I am willing to make. Still rock higher stats than most, so I am okay with it.

Same. Mobility is worth... On hunters. It just severely cuts down melee CDs, Cuz it gives them for free- And if you run GPG, Well, Melees And thus dodges can give you grenades, Too.

But they already get reload bonuses with mobility. Sure not directly, but clearly TDT is not thinking ahead at all. He's just too busy crying about how he can't take advantage of his movement speed, jumps, and dodges. Especially the fucking jumps. Oh boy I wonder why STOMPEE5 keeps getting nerfed. We don't need to worry about strength or reload speed at all as long as you keep using your mobility based ability.

As a warlock, what I mobility gave you a chance for hitscan damage to miss (only for hunters maybe). Like tier 10 gave you a 5-7% chance of damage missing you in pve so it’s also a passive survival stat like resilience and recovery

They definitely need to do something with it. Resilience was already a good stat then they added dmg resist AND flinch resist to it. They need a reason for you to care about all 3 top stats so its an ACTUAL trade off when you make your builds. Reload speed is a pretty good one, I was thinking maybe handling? maybe both if they’re smaller buffs?

Both wouldn't compare to resilience and recovery. I think the best way to buff is it to renam it to dexterity and making it so whenever you get a buff it transfers to your teammates with the range depending on how high your dexterity is. It would make lightweight knife a lot more useful and make warlocks and titans have to consider speccing into it since they'd be able to share stuff like rift healing or void overshield from further away. Plus it would make hunter dodges benefit your team too so you can instant reload everyone's guns or melee which would be sick.

Res was not a good stat outside of niche crucible applications every 3 stages for different gates to ttk, because it didn't have an effect on supers at the time either. 10 more health in pve was more or less a non-factor

Huh? Titans never cared to build much into resil until the damage resistance happened. Before then recovery was king for all content.

That’s not a bad idea. Focusing armor on hunter to get good stats is a nightmare cause you need resil and recov so I always end up using mobility as a dump stat

@@quubey_ehhh I beg to differ, but only partially. Half the time there are so many constantly spawning ads that you can’t recover anyways. But this is also on the class with the least survivability tools mid fight (invis does not count as you have to sacrifice time, pressure, and damage) so it is more or less necessary. I never go higher than 6 though thats usually enough for me. Also all of that said if forbearance is even at all possible on your loadout everything I just said is null and void. Either way, mobility is still a dump stat for the class that should use it the most.

Make all 3 class abilities INT and adjust base cool-downs on all supers Considering that there are a lot of exotics/Builds that get the super back much quicker So in other words DIS - Grenade STR - melee INT - Class Makes more sense that way 😊

Or, radical concept here, they could make it actually increase your mobility. Let it affect sprint speed and in-air jump height. Let it be useful for what it’s actually supposed to do. Reload speed is nice, but also very easy to build into or negate entirely, depending on the build and weapon. Bungie should make Mobility actually be the mobility stat, so that it would be worth speccing into for builds on any class that want to be fast or jump high. I don’t understand why it didn’t always work like that. And yes, the maximum speed they’re willing to increase their run animation to is 12.5%, but they can still work within that. I’ve seen some people recommend letting Mobility buff sprint speed by up to 10%, which would work fine, and would still let Amplified have value on top of high Mobility. There are a lot of things Bungie could be doing with Mobility, they just aren’t.

Before I understood how worthless Mobility actually is, I used to spec into it on builds like that, cuz just based on the description, it sounds like it should provide that for those builds. That’s one of the biggest reasons I hate the way it works right now so much, and why I don’t just want it to give a minor bump to a weapon stat. It should ACTUALLY give mobility, like the name implies.

It already does affect jump height, as well as strafe speed Sprint speed increasing would be a nice buff for it, as well as maybe making your slide be faster or have a faster recovery depending on mobility

This. The reload stat, if it were ever to be a thing, simply makes more sense with “dexterity”. Just make mobility a actual mobility stat.

I once thought mobility could maybe speed up animations. Like deploying shields, rifts, and dodge speed. As well as how fast you do weapon animations for alternate fires.

For me mobility should give you a chance of being immune ( like a dodge mechanic) this would help in GMs and other hard content where you could have died from a sniper shot or a blast.

Throw in DR in the air, handling bonus, and let it stack with mida and stompees/mobility exotics (for the fun aspect) and I think it’ll be a nice balance choice to trade offs higher recov or resil stat 100 mobility: 10% reload 15% handling 8% DR in air (4% in pvp) 20% base jump height and horizontal distance for it 10% powered jump height and velocity 15% slide distance and slide speed 15% strafe speed 10% sprint and walking speed Normal (non buffed) walking speed when crouched 15% in air accuracy (8% in pvp) 10% faster class ability animation Optional increase in fov size (It might seem like a lot but it’s not that much extra stuff compared to what we have and it would demand maxing out for builds on all classes meaning they would have to sacrifice a potential vital stat in high tier activities and make low tier just feel better to play with)

I'm of the opinion that Mobility should improve all aspects of movement. It SHOULD make you sprint faster and slide further, and it SHOULD improve your jump ability (regardless of class). Additionally, generic movement exotics should be reworked to heavily play around a single form of movement and give you new abilities for it. Using St0mpEE5 as an example, it should function similarly to the H3AD-5T v2 item from Risk of Rain 2: Increasing your jump height, making you immune to fall damage, and allowing you to fall to the ground quickly to damage enemies you land on/near.

Honestly, add veeeery slight scalers to all the various “mobility” related things you do in the game. A 1-10% sprint speed increase, a 0.5-5% increase in ADS speed, weapon handling, reload speed, strafe speed, slide distance… Mobility doesn’t do enough for what the stat says it is. Make it interact with EVERYTHING we do that’s movement related.

honestly, movement can be a massive skill gap in pvp. maybe if they renamed mobility to dexterity and added small increases to weapon handling/reload as the side benefit that would be nice. it would make the stat a more desirable option for all 3 classes and help with general feel. you might have to rework or buff exotics like ophidian aspect or dragon's shadow, rip titans for not having a similar exotic :'( best part is, dexterity would totally still apply to hunter dodging fantasy

You can easily get max or more than favorable reload stats with minimal effort as is, so people still aren't going to waste the time, resources or effort grinding for it. To be useful in endgame pve and tie into the hunter identity, I would say have the mobility stat be tied to i-frames. Yes, I said it. Slightly more i-frames when doing class abilities, dodging, sliding etc. if your mobility stat is maxed, with the current amount of i-frames being the base.

The three class ability stats are all ostensibly about reacting to damage in some way. Recovery kicks in after damage is taken, resilience kicks in when damage is being taken, and following that logic, mobility is about avoiding taking damage in the first place. Allowing high mobility to enable that would be very valuable. Making it benefit sprint speed and slide distance would be the easiest thing to do, but finding someway for high mobility to give a passive “accuracy debuff” to PvE enemies would make it much more useful in endgame content.

Mobility should decrease collision and fall damage; and boost in air "speed correction" So if you get booped into a wall, or fall from high up, you take less damage. It should also give you some resistance to being moved by enemy abilities and thus reducing the likelihood of getting a Smash Bros death.

I have one idea for the hunter, Keep the reload speed idea, since it is a good general idea, but make this interesting, make it where mobility affects your slide and Melee recovery speed, as in, when you directly melee, the time it takes to recover from your melee increase, this also make arc hunters a bit more deadly for hitting faster

no no, they dont need to bump up the reload stat, they need to increase the reload MULTIPLIER beyond the normal multiplier. making it so that 100 reload + 100 mobility will be able to reload a rocket launcher in .9 seconds (lowest now is 1.85 with luna well etc)

A neat idea mobility could use to buff it is make it so it effects ability animation, making abilities faster or slower to use. This would effect how long it takes for your grenades, melee, rifts and barriers to be cast as well as how long it takes for the initial casting of your super. This would also effect how fast Hunter’s are moving while dodging or using a dive ability. Another buff you could give mobility is make it grant additional damage resist against combatants during your class ability animation.

Ok lowkey if you give it this along with the reload and maybe a handling buff, this would be super good. Imagine actually building mobility on arc hunter and using your punch lightning fast like a D&D monk lol. Or using it on strand would also be really cool because the movement there is already amazing as is.

That's why I play arc hunter with sprint fragment to increase mobility while sprinting and the fragment that improves class ability regen while sprinting. Since I'm gonna be sprinting to regen dodge anyway, I can basically run 20 mobility and when I'm sprinting with amplified I actually have 100 mobility and also improved dodge regen

How I would redo the stats: Mobility - Movement Speed (Stride,Strafe,Run, etc.) - Action Speed (Handling, grenade throw time, ready/stow weapon, etc.) Resilience - Health - Shield Recovery - Shield recharge - hostile effect duration Intellect - Area of Effect - Effect Duration Discipline - Accuracy - Stability Strength - Ability Damage and Healing done - melee damage Ability recharge time would be tied to weapon weight like it is in mass effect: lower damage, lighter weight weapon OR using one less weapon slot = greater ability recharge.

It would have to be extremely minor, like 5-10% @ 100 mobility. Some of the most common dps setups are "damage perk" + "reload/free ammo perk".

I was thinking maybe have the Mobility Stat tie into a Combatant's "Target Acquisition" of a player while moving. The higher the stat, the harder it would be for the enemy (especially sniper/crossbow ones) to hit you when you move around the battlefield. This would mainly be just a PvE perk, but a thought nonetheless.

That's what i've been saying. Mobility already makes it easier to dodge projectiles at shorter ranges, make it so enemy have less accuracy on you so you can actually react and strafe away from enemy fire more consistently even in higher difficulties.

I think in pbe mobility could reduce your hit box size, that way it kinda functions as a form of damage mitigation and feeds into the hard to hit hunter

I really like this idea because I can't stand slow and sluggish reload speeds. Especially since my main character’s playstyle is a lot more focused on speed and mobility, and is a lot more fast-paced. Anytime I find a weapon that has a slow reload speed, I either leave it in my vault, dismantle it, or infuse it into another weapon.

I'd like to see mobility as a general "gameplay snappiness" stat. Apply mild, very mild, scalers (not stat bumps) to reload and handling, maybe 0.5-1% per tier, so that even if you max a stat out on a gun you're still benefitting from it. Possibly a bump to recoil direction as well. Also, give it a sprint speed modifier that, at t10, acts the same as a lightweight frame or movement class/exotic perk, letting you replace one of them with investment in the mobility stat, while keeping the same hard cap so it doesnt introduce too much power creep, mainly flexibility.

I mean, that's a pretty good idea. _Especially_ if you keep the current effects on it as well My thoughts on how to balance it was always that resilience and recovery are survivability stats, so mobility should be too. Make it give an innate chance to "dodge" attacks, or perhaps to dip out and get hit by "glancing blows" instead?

​@@TheOneWhoBugsfor me its titan ironically enough, purely because of how they are encouraged to go in melee which is such a death sentence at higher difficulties. Even solar still has to go in melee range to pick up that hammer. And its not like titans are any more durable than other classes in a neutral state to make up for that need to go in melee to get most of their buffs (looking at you strand)...

We just need more augmented options for our class abilities. Like bringing back the class mod from the undying artifact. Bumping a short window of over shield when class ability is used. But capitalize and expand on that idea into a permanent fixture in the game (Ok we are getting class item exotics but I'm speaking from perk and aspect pools essentially. For a random example: three options for the voidlock projectile melee. Push farther, suppress, charge for heavier damage On rift for voidlock u get a push back, suppress with radius, create a mini bubble for a short moment stop the rift casted. For solar titan: the uppercut melee could work with an heavier explosion, spawns more AOE wave attacks, or you can throw your banhammer at the peak of the uppercut For the tower barricaide could create a wall of fire that hurts more and cascades over the titan and team, to make it harder to determine where youll pop around, creates humidified variant that heals like a rift but not as immediate, or a mini khepris horn sorta thing.

I was thinking it could slightly speed up animations. You climb faster, you throw grenades slightly faster, you reload slightly faster, you melee slightly faster slide slightly faster. Maybe leave super and class ability animations. But a lot of feel good animation boosting would be solid. Be pretty equivalent to flinch resist on resilience.

Dodging should give you evasiveness which ignores a certain amount of damage based on mobility. For Titan and Warlock they activate their class ability faster and can “evade” while activating class abilities.

I would recommend the mobility stat gives an invisible decrease to bullet magnetism within both PvE and PvP, or aim desist. In essence, the faster you move, the harder you are to hit. This would reward both investment into the mobility stat and good movement with a decreased chance of getting locked onto by aim assist or from ad tracking. Make it just good enough where it has a tangible difference in gameplay while also not making the gunplay feel poor or the PvE challenges too easy.

I’ve personally thought that Intellect should be the class ability stat, more to remove cooldown tiers for PvP, but also neutralises the advantage for Titan and Warlocks to have a massively increased class ability regen over Hunters.

I got this definitions from google Speed: the rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate. Mobility: the ability to move or be moved freely and easily. So based on this movility doesnt mean you move faster. Although in real life, mobility can help increase speed as it give give you more fluidity when moving your legs as you run or sprint. Regardless i think mobilty based on the definition i posted from google, should increase reload speed and handling of weapons , to include stowing and drawing them when switching weapons.

Bungie should do an update, in which, mobility’s number stat, affects how likely bullets hit you/how effectively you can dodge bullets by running, like Payday 2. This would force people to focus more on Hunters, in PvP, while Hunters have better survivability in PvE.

Mobility increases walking speed as well, which in turn increases your sprint speed. It increases the hight of your jump and allows you to maneuver more smoothly. Hunter is the only class I'll run Mobility on, but I've had no issues solo flawlessing the dungeons on a Mobility hunter. Feels good above all else, and I can make up for the loss in recov and Resilience.

I’d make mobility add a multiplier to both handling and reload while also making the strafe thing more significant. Give or take, from 0.95 multiplier at tier 1 to 0.75 - 0.70 multiplier. Strafe deserves a little push so I’d also go for an extra 10% strafe speed. For anyone thinking it’s too op for PvP, remember Titans and Warlocks exist and for anyone saying it’s not good enough for PVE, I ain’t a bungie dev, not my job.

I cant lie, the idea of having a bullet dodge chance would make it as goof ss resilience when it was buffed, and fits the deft mobility idea. If its too like resilience, have it while moving/sprinting or being in the air. Or have it doubled or 50% extra in the air.

My idea for a rework would do this: Mobility grants 1-10% Damage Evasion. This makes Hunters able to survive better, and the other classes can benefit as well.

Here me out. Each class has a bonus that interacts with the other stats to make active combinations. Effectively requiring each class to invest in at least 2 of the mobility/rezil/restor stats. So we all have the same problem as hunters and need to invest in 2. For hunters Faster movements will boost rezil and healing. So more mobility means more of the other two. For warlocks: rate of healing will increase damage resistance and movement. For titans: reducing damage will increase movement and healing rate. This will massively help draw out the intended play style of each class.

I have a 50/100/50 build, and the ability to spawn strand decoys is INVALUABLE when all the ads are focused on you (especially in solo play).

Okay, crazy idea from me, but what if the damage resist and health increase is tied to how high all 3 of the class stats are? Like, so long as you have a total of 100 or so points in those 3 stats then you get the max benefit for health and damage resist. Putting more points into either stat after that is just for the other benefits that come with said stats.

Mobility should reduce combatant accuracy like the benefit of Manticore's perk. That way each stat would give some level of survivability, so we would three stat flavors of "live better" and three stat flavors of "ability better."

Maybe they could make Mobility increase handling speeds on weapons rather than reload? It would fix a few issues, like needing handling perks on heavier weapons and allowing more freedom of choice for perks, incentivize other classes to spec into it, and it would give an extra use to speccing into Mobil just like there is with resil

The stat itself may not be as effective in PvE but mobility directly affects the hunter dodge cooldown. And the hunter dodge is undoubtedly the most overpowered and versatile ability in the game.

What about mob increasing distance covered in class ability animation, other classes wouldn't spec into it still because their class ability are stationary (and striker titans WOULD want to spec into that because they have a dash as a class ability) and would make hunters dodge ACTUALLY a dodge with high mobi

Honestly I’m fine with it. I agree is basically useless but it does three things that elevate the game for me: faster base move speed for general farming/dungeons, easier jumping puzzles (arguably 50% of the game), and most importantly- at around ~70 or 80 mobility is when you start successfully dodging sustained fire. I’m a doom fan and so I like to move. I’ve noticed that enemies in this game have weirdly accurate tracking to the point where it’s almost pointless to run from enemy bullets. 70 is good for ground running but specifically 80 is where they can’t hit you while air sprinting. I’ll take that over recovery any day. ❤

Crazy idea. Make mobility actually increase your mobility. More control in air with jumps, slightly faster walk speed/sprint speed.

One of the hunter dodges is insta reload full mag which means hunters should go into mobility to use the class ability more. With double dodge exotic you can fire all of your rockets with cold comfort envious assassin which is great dps and if you want more reload strand. Overall this buff would allow hunters to reload any gun quicker as a passive and that would be a nightmare to balance.

Mobility: the ability to move freely or easily. Higher mobility stats should include: 1) the ability to reload while running, 2) more resistance to status effects like slow, & 3) a change to existing dodge like farther dodge, jumping off walls, side somersault, or something. To further balance this, hunter mobility would receive less effect from slow, titan resistance would resist slow for an extra second before being affected, and warlock s would be affected normally but be able to recover from the effects more quickly. Then the times for slow, suspend, etc. Could be returned to their longer uptimes

I dig the idea, but tbh I've always seen the TITANS as the weapons master class, the "soldier/fighter" with an auto rifle and sidearm. Which upsets me further considering how much Bungo loves leaning to making melee Titans ENTIRE thing. Regardless, I think mobility giving reload speed would be slick, even as a non hunter player.

Something that comes to mind with mobility is to make it grant dodge chance, like in payday or Warframe, a chance to not take damage. Don’t know how it could be balanced, but it’s an interesting idea

I still think the best rework for this is, and i know it cannot happen in Destiny 2 because the community would melt down, is to bundle the top 3 stats. Similar to what other MMOs did, I can think of SWTOR as the best example, of taking each class's individual stat and making a single stat for all of it: mastery. You could call it "proficiency" or whatever you like, but it would fix the issue immediately. You could leave the bottom 3 stats the way they are, but how armor rolls would need to be changed

Actually sounds really balanced and a way to make the stat useful. Bungie really needs to take this advice. Stat building is the reason I quit being a hunter main because every stat needs to be good on hunter whereas other classes you have 1 or 2 stats you can just trash completely.

The mobility stat should increase all around movement and dexterity with weapons. Like better handling, ready & stow, and ADS on top of reload. Along with other aspects like sliding, maneuverability, air movement, and sprinting. An average of 10% certainly wouldn't break anything, but Bungie has been hesitant with those kinds of buffs.

In Destiny 1, mobility was OP. I saw the the step back when they released D2, and even more so as D2 got more and more DLC. In D1 it truly did make your character move quicker. Every action would be just slightly faster. Now it’s literally less useful than using a bad gun.

Honestly we could lean even more into agi being snappier with weapons, reload, handling, even stability could all be given a bonus with agility There is little buildcrafting options to make guns feel better, being able to use more range with less stability on your rolls bc you’ve spec’d into mobility seems like a cool option to me

I honestly feel like mobility should give a very mild movement speed boost. Maybe maxing out at a 10% movement speed increase at tier 10 mobility, or maybe a little higher at 15% with the the closer to tier 10 the more of an increase (like a 1% increase for every tier up to 6, then 2% from tier 7 to 9, with tier 10% giving a 3% increase to 15%). Hunters are apparently supposed to be the fastest class, but I never feel that way compared to titans and warlocks. Having our main stat be tied to mobility doesnt even make sense at that point

They should give each stat an additional passive to shake up the resilience meta. For hunters I’d give a passive to mobility that boosts evasiveness causing enemies to miss shots more in PVE. This can already happen with the Manticore so I think it’d be doable.
