There was a two story Roadhouse in Angeles National Forest in 1986 on the lost highway that they moved over because of the car accidents. There were two bungalows out in back of the place. The top level was a squaredance floor.

I see you took my advice :) In the 70s the club was called the Boogie. In the 80's, and at the time of filming, it was "The Bandstand". Then it changed again to the Cowboy Boogie then back to the Boogie in late 90's. Had a lot of good times in that club both in the Bandstand days and in the Cowboy Boogie era.

You always surprise me that you never take a remnant of filming locations, especially when there all dilapidated or gone. You could of got a nice chunk of the entrance way floor there, and even if you did'nt want to keep it, you could put it on ebay to fund you'r adventures, i'm sure they would sell. This vlog got me thinking about bars in films. When I was growing up I watched (a number of times) the Burt Reynolds movie Hooper about the Hollywood stuntman. In it they go to the Palomino bar and a fight erupts. I was always fascinated by it as there appeared to be no roof to the bar and as I live in Scotland, if they did the same here the drinks would fill up with rain water faster than you could drink them. I think the Palomino was also in Every which way but loose with Clint Eastwood (the biggest yellow belly in the west). Does this bar actually exist in L.A.? Is it still there? Did it have a roof? OK here's what I know. Yes the Palomino club technically still exists. This club was fairly popular until the mid 90's. It's interior was used in several movies. Every Which Way But Loose - 1978 Any Which Way You Can - 1980 That Thing You Do - 1996 and others. Side note: "That Thing You Do" also shot in one of Adam's favorite places, Orange Circle. (I'm in one of the scenes but not sure if it made it to film) Back to Palamino... Notice which movie was not mentioned in the above list. Hooper. yes, Hooper's scenes were shot there. But the "interiors" weren't interiors. They were actually a set which consisted of 3 walls in the parking lot next to the club. Best guess for this is they couldn't get good angles for the fights inside and moved outside. Hope that helps.

Hey Adam, that firehouse in LA you filmed has an awesome history, I always wanted to see the top floor inside. if you were facing the firehouse behind you to the right, there was a famous bar where the Doors Hard rock cover photo was taken. that was where the Hard Rock Cafe idea came from. that bar also was in the Michael Jackson "Beat it video". it now is a liquor store. So crazy that all of that is on skid row! Also found Morrison Hotel!

I remember the real life DeLorean dealership near John DeLoreans old home where he kept that one DeLorean`s trunk full of contraband....Its nothing spectacular, its still a car dealership though,...and its largely the same as it was back in the day. A truly majestic Vlog, Adam! Even Patrick Swayze would be impressed! You should pack up your Dvds and send them or take them to your sister`s place. I sold most of mine at a flea market, for one measly dollar each, when I got my Netflix account, a few years back. I`ve regretted it ever since. There were some old flicks in that collection, that I really wish I could revisit, but can't now. :(
