Great video, but the story you told isn't even close to the legend of the donkey lady bridge. The bridge is actually only closed because it's so old and structurally unsafe. There was supposedly an old witch that lived in the area, and after being crossed by a young woman riding away on a donkey, she cast a spell on her and made her a centaur-like monster. If you drove across the bridge alone at night, you could hear her galloping next to you.

Adam the Woo, They closed off that Bridge due to Flooding purposes and built a taller bridge next to it for the residents but mainly for the Toyota Plant. The Medina River always floods when it rains out there. I grew up out there and moved away a year ago. Lot's of snakes in the summer time out there also.

I grew up just a few miles from that place. Rode our bikes down to the Medina river at that very bridge. Loads of memories fishing and swimming even camped overnight a few times. But never saw a trace of the donkey lady .

Adam The Woo - If you had stayed in San Antonio for a few more days, you could of seen the Rodeo that is in the city this time of year. Back in the 1960's, San Antonio had a big downtown Rodeo parade to begin the celebration. Today, all the celebration is held on the Rodeo grounds. Movie stars even come to the Alamo city and make appearances to entertain the public.

Man, now I can't wait to see Jacob's upload. It seems he's still getting used to using the drone; should be fun!! I suspect they closed the bridge off to prevent the constant/uneven loads on it from people parking on it all night - it looks a little beat up, and is presumably not an important enough bridge/thoroughfare to reinforce or rebuild to handle the "tourist traffic". They were probably worried it would collapse one day and hurt some tourist. Little odd-ball local legends like this can become the bane of city or county administrator's existence. We have a couple local roads here where there are "legends" told (some true; the closest one to me is pseudo-documented in the movie "River's Edge") that get excess wear and tear from more traffic than was ever planned for them, and the city maintenance people get pretty irritated.
