the few times i watched something like this, I always neglected the role of the conductor. this video showed how essential the role is. the conductor here was really the driving force of the performance and it's such a delight to see him being really taken over by the music. magical.

Hi! People usually think that the conductor is there just to dance during the performance and set the time. The tough work of a conductor starts much before the performance. He ties all the pieces together in rehearsals and communicate his vision, backed on hard research. Also, conductors should be seen as instrumentalists as they make music out of orchestras and choruses (their instruments!).
