BackpackerGuide.NZ how do you Add the like/subscribe animation to the bottom of your videos? It looks really good

It's simple :) I made the alpha animation in After Effect and then add them onto the edit in Premiere Pro as a lower third layer.

Haha. Found it really cool how you both are able to pronounce Maori words quite well, but struggled to pronounce geysers. Lol Geyser sounds like Guy as in a bloke and Sir as in a gentleman. Now put them together Guysir = Geyser. 😂😉

Hi guys! cool video... love it! May I ask tho, did you guys join the tour for this? Cause I saw on their website they have 2 different kinds of tours: day and evening tour. I was thinking to do the day tour but it doesn't mention the Maori Cultural Performance on the highlights so I wasn't sure. If you guys don't mind sharing some info that would be amazing. Thank you so much!!

Thanks for the kind words Katharina :) They are two separate things, we did this tour in the morning, you will be able to book the cultural event when checking in :)

Great videos. Really helps while planning trips. I am now working on budget and would like to know how much it costs to visit the geothermal springs and the Te puia village. It would also help if you could share costs for other activities in NZ. Thanks in advance.

Wait till you have small children, you will see...spouting water, accompanied by thunderous noise, bubbling mud...at first quietly bubbling, then aggressively bubbling madly till its bouncing off your stomach....then glorious peace and quiet, untill the next volcanic outburst!

Yeah what happened to you guys at the end of the video, I've had that happen to me a few times in China. Sometimes at tourist attractions, sometimes just on the street in rural towns... basically you get either young people, usually teenagers, or elderly (the Mao Zedong generation) who've never seen a foreigner before and they want to come and meet you and get a photo with you. It doesn't happen often, and most chinese won't bother because they've seen foreigners in american movies etc. But it happens occasionally. I always enjoy the reaction of children to me while travelling the subway. When I walk around I tend to wear dark glasses and my wide brim australian kangaroo hat so not only do I look different from chinese, I look VERY different. And in subways you have no choice but to look at other people so you get school kids looking at you and pointing, lol.

Yeah! We worked with the iwi on getting the proper paperwork done and they helped us out :)

That's fantastic news, I am a new drone user and an still finding my way about getting permission to fly. I also note they have a no photography for commercial purposes sign. Did you also get Iwi permission to do the photography in general?
