Hey, I was one of the unfortunate students who were placed in Dundee, although thankfully I have now been moved to St Andrew's, but after a lot of emails and hassle to get a room here. There was also no communication with any St As representative whilst we were there and it was very isolating

We've had the police tell us - i.e. my three friends and I - last week to leave East Sands at 10:30 pm. We were told it was illegal to have bonfires (which, it isn't!) and that we would have to leave the beach even if we put the fire out. Bloody ridiculous after Sally told us that we would be allowed to meet outside lol

hey kiki! love your channel! i've been watching you for ages and now im finally here at st andrews! kinda sucks because im a fresher and its insanely hard to make friends right now because there are so many restrictions. i feel like its weird to just randomly text people asking them if they wanna hang out when you dont even know them :( but like, what else am i supposed to do. plus a lot of the freshers events are online which is nice but its just not the same. totally agree w everything you said in the video! im a medic and everything just feels a bit gloomy and depressing :( hopefully no one i know sees this comment lol 3-3

@@justkiki3091 Hi! No they haven't, I'm deliberating between a few schools in the UK (I'm Australian) and I made the conditional offer requirements for all but St Andrews. I'm not sure if it's silly to turn down solid offers for a school that might reject me still!

@@greta6336 are the grades really close? they could still accept you depending on how many spaces they have on the course, but i wouldnt bet on it :/ i would personally email or phone someone on the admissions team and ask them the same questions. they're much more likely to know than me. hope that helps!

@@justkiki3091 hey sweetie! I was wondering if there are high crime rates such as in other places, or in other words if the city itself feels safe for students. (no stabbing, robbing, walking out at noon, feeling safe in the halls, etc..)

@@samarkasasfeh8720 well there are very low crime rates in st andrews - i believe the lowest out of all uk universities

@@samarkasasfeh8720 there is probably no university town in the Western world with less crime! it's the one place a woman can walk around all by herself in the middle of the night and feel safe. that said, there is crime everywhere and, for instance, if you owned a bicycle you would need to buy a chain for it or it could get stolen
