Watching vid like this and other confessions of ex-kpop idols, you will never can really conclude the relationship between the members esp off cam. What we see on screen are usually the things that they want us to see. The personality and stuff that we know about them are only a little part of who they really are. However, I still would like to point out there are also groups who seem very close and consider each other more than as colleagues, and concrete evidence for this is when the group disbands or goes to indefinite hiatus, they still see or communicate each other and can freely talk about each other. Example: SNDS [OT8], Sistar, Girl's Day [OT4],.. and most recently GOT7.

BTS had this talk in one of their movies. They mentioned how they’re so lucky that they genuinely like each other as friends, family and even colleagues. Jungkook mentioned something intriguing, he said some groups don’t even like each other or often fight. That boy knows some tea😳 They were able to stick together for nearly 8 years (debut) and with some it had been a decade (pre-debut) together. All seven have distinct and different personalities, they clashed at first. I mean what do you expect staying with the same members 24/7 in a small cramped apartment while stressing over what will happen to your future?? They were teenage boys, fights are bond to happen. But as a group they lasted long because they THOUGHT about the group first. They are so selfless and ready to hype up a member. This is why they’re so successful as well. As corny as this may sound but its the power of friendship bestie. If you constantly try to one up the other you will not be a big group. Nope. You won’t last long and your impact is none. No wonder most idol groups fail, its because the group itself does not act like a group or the company’s values are so off that competition had ruined the group before it even started. An example of a group that has stuck together for so long is Little Mix. They’re a western girl group not kpop or anything but they’ve been together for nearly 10 years, they’re still active. And guess what they thought was the most important factor in being successful and having longevity? Friendship. Guess what BTS also said that had them still together? Yes bestie its friendship and teamwork. They told TXT (tomorrow x together pronounced as tomorrow by together) that teamwork was so important. Your greed pulls down not only the group but yourself.

Business is business not everyone you meet in life you will get along with or like and that's the case with some idols and some groups energy and vibes can be easily spotted and it seems like in girl groups with so many members tensions and fights will occur on an often bases , but after a while people will accept in the end it's just business not a social call.

The only girl group that I truly believe that have a strong friendship is Twice.. In an interview they said that they preferred the rising of the group instead of the rising of specific members, so yeah it makes sense
@joshuawong58393 жыл бұрын
Well, TWICE have a few traditions which make it simple to avoid some of the stuff mentioned here, right? They do the majority of their stuff by age order (makeup, styling, even MV shoots), so that gets rid of the fighting over hair and makeup positions. Nayeon (the eldest) also usually takes the Verse 1 'A' part, for valid reasons of face and singing skill as well as age. (Though the younger members all claim that she's ranked #9 or #8 in the internal pecking order of authority, and she plays along with that.) And they all have extremely distinct personalities and characters, which makes it less likely for the members to overlap. So it's a combination of professionalism as well as friendship. And they each also have friends and hobbies outside the group which help to keep things balanced.

the part where she said they act like colleagues & work hard when they need to, that's really true tbh if u stan a lot of older gen groups, u can see which group would still meet each other & who don't lol
@BMiren-bc6ye3 жыл бұрын
Like when she said they get closer when it's over, I can't help but feel that's the case too for groups where their popularity already peaked, e.g. super successful 2nd gen groups. It's easier to get close when the sense of competition has been dulled by the camaraderie of surviving the best/worst of idol fame. SM for me has the most obvious tension and lack of real friendship at peak activity. It feels like they only learn to enjoy each other's company once the peak passed. I feel like there's a lot of internal competition there lol. JYP seems to be the one where there is greatest effort to get along between members -- leading to a very strong bond like got7 or even very strong professional bonds like 2PM, WG, MissA and, I suspect, Twice. YG, esp the younger gens, can be downright cruel to each other. I get the vibe that not only is there internal competition, there's also some favoritism from up-high. I don't doubt there are true friends there, but Idk that it's always the whole group.
@peace_wise28093 жыл бұрын
Can you tell from vlives and other interactions between a group that they are genuine friends or just for business or just can't stand each other?? I do feel certain vibes from some groups that they aren't close enough (and that's not wrong). It's hard to expect anyway.

The only ggs that I believe have strong bonding are Mamamoo and Twice, ofcourse they will have fights and arguments even they spoke about it in variety shows but that shows they're like family, Jihyo too accepted that they've fights but also said that they understand eachother well, I also remember her saying a member's success means my success, my success means their success (you can checkout the documentary "seized the light").
@minbeomu3 жыл бұрын
I also want to say something to those who are not BTS fans or anything. Its one of the things BTS said on how they solve fights and how it kept their teamwork so strong after all these years. They do not let any fight go unsolve. You and that member have to fix whatever issue it was ASAP. If its something that can’t be solved today, then lets solve it tomorrow. Because any fight in between two members affect the WHOLE group. This they knew! Which is why when the two members argument go out of hand they’ll have a group meeting in which they help the two resolve whatever issue it was while hugging it out. They even joked that petty fights were solved by shoving the members who fought in one room and hold hands (developed through the years). My point is, the way you tackle fights will affect the group a lot. There are no place for grudges in BTS, and I hope its the case for more groups. Learning how to put your pride aside and own up to your own mistake is a sacrifice someone has to make. If you let it boil down it will affect the group negatively. There may be group members that won’t ever get along and would only treat each other as colleagues or acquaintances. But at the end of the day, fans will be drawn to groups who are genuinely friends and not only colleagues. So take it with a grain of salt, I conclude that groups who know how to balance friendship and being colleagues are the best while those who keep a cold distance from each other will most likely fail and leave zero impact.

What are your thoughts on the bullies who became celebrities? Are some idols being framed or just them finally getting their karma?
@Marwa-mv6wv3 жыл бұрын
I feel like most of the cases are just misunderstandings and the classmates start to spread rumors for clout and out of jealousy because the accused idols are successful u never see that happening with the smaller groups so that says a lot For example for soojin's case the "victim " says in her post that because she saw that soojin is getting more famous each day and gaining fans she couldn't handle seeing her on TV and she thought that soojin didn't deserve the attention she was getting because of her past actions that's why the girl chose to expose her

I think, and please don't get me wrong, because I love them, they're one of my favorites kpop female group. But I think, Twice is a group where you can perceive some tension, especially when Nayeon says things like she's the prettiest member and stuff like that. Like I said before, I love them and because I watch a ton of things about them, sometimes I get that second hand embarrassment. Some fans tend to romanticize this, but in Twice there are some members left that don't shine like Nayeon or Jihyo. So, sometimes I get that vibe that some members would like to have a better lyric distribution. Or that there will be some competion especially coming from Nayeon.
@ashellokitty3 жыл бұрын
i actually think twice have the best relationship with eachother they treat each other like real siblings so of course they tease each other but i havent seen any other group that love eachother like they do
@Arufantasy3 жыл бұрын
if you actually watch vlives and behind the scenes (or just hear staff talking about the members) you'll see that they all get along fantastically well. Also, lyric distribution in twice is asorted by the members themselves when they write their own lyrics so (for example) sana usually gives momo and tzuyu really good parts, same thing with nayeon giving key parts to mina
@chillax91843 жыл бұрын
The members have no power to decide in lyric distribution. It's the power of the composer and the producer. Nayeon is the confident troll unnie to the younger members. That's why others just usually laughs it off. The amount of content that's uploaded to Twice is enormous, if members are off with each other there's been long before issue that's talked about by the Knetz. Especially Tzuyu and Mina are the members who are pure, I don't think they can stay for 6+ years together without an issue.
@chillax91843 жыл бұрын
Another thing is staffs by production team always praises Twice for their attitude and sincerity. They said that they have the closest bond that they saw. Watch (GDA I think where staff mentioned Twice) and Knetz are surprised as how a female group like Twice aren't sensitive off stage. Remember behind the camera, they're mentioned as bubbly and respectful towards staff. You can't sugarcoat that, they're industry for a long time already. And all the story is positive with them either on or off camera
