I bought a PD-505T from Moon Audio about a month ago. I am very happy with it! It sounds noticeably better than the CD transport that it replaced which cost half as much. At 77, it will probably be the last transport I buy(unless I win the lottery, LOL). I did a lot of research, and I think it is the best available CD transport in that price range.

Thanks for this - it's the only online video comparison of these players, and as many will be asking "which Teac transport?", it's really nice to see this comparison. as well as the CD player. I bought the PD-505T, and wondered what I was giving up at 1/2 the price of the 701. It's a nice transport and outperforms an older high end Technics DVDA player, and is a nice upgrade for a system that only occasionally sees CD playback on an older DAC. And I find the presenter's voice to be clear and easily understood - nice work!

Comparative tests between CD transports should be done using amplifier and speakers instead of headphones, because in this way you can notice the efficiency of the transport in vibrations damping

I own TEAC Esoteric P10 CD Drive Unit with VRDS though not stated, Audio Note DAC 1 and Audio Note SORO Amp for over 20 years. Unfortunately all not working anymore 😭 Now thinking of getting clone FA300A Amp from China and CD Player with wireless and USB playing capability. So this VRDS thing is not new anyway.
