I've had my TN-5BB for close to a year and a half and really enjoy it. I'm currently using an Audio-Technica OC9XML moving coil cartridge into a Pro-Ject DS3 B phono pre-amp with excellent results. I also have a Technics SL-1200GR2 that I purchased a while later and though it's a very good turntable it has been relegated to my secondary system as I much prefer the TEAC due to the auto stop/lift feature. I think they are equal performance wise but it's a matter of convenience for me.

looks awesome, TEAC has some great stuff with their new lines. this is a great table at this price. built to perform and not unnecessarily overbuilt. modern simplicity and perfection.

hi, small question, what makes you think that the xlr outputs only work with MC cartriges? Thanx for this great review
@rolandbogush25945 ай бұрын
Great review, thank you. I've had one for a couple of years, mostly using an Ortofon Quintet Bronze MC cart - sounds wonderful. To mix it up a bit, I like to change to an Ortfon SPU 1#E which makes my older vinyl records sound noticeably warmer. Some additional counter-weights are need for this heavy cartridge.

Look for an Ortofon SPU review in the future. I have one here and it is on the list of product I will be reviewing.

looks real good from long distance, especially like the auto lift.... I had a new AR t' table long ago, quickly learned that for my hands, full auto was the way to go, now a thorens 103. but $ 1800. and 'only' a 2m red.... lots of fine t'table for that thou near all total Manuel

I want to like this channel but the Reading of cue cards as opposed to speaking to the viewer is a bit of turn off.
