The list of countries is so limited. It's disheartening. Here in south africa we speak English very fluently, yet the oprtunities are so limited.

The Arizona State University course is popular. It can be quite long, so it depends when and where you want to teach abroad. Jobs abroad typically accept them since they are tied to universities.

I don’t think so. Language is strongly tied to culture and AI just cannot understand cultural differences, humor, cultural nuance, etc. communication also involves things like gestures and intonation which can only be taught by humans. Will AI improve teachers’ workflows? Yes. Will it take our jobs? No.

Are you already living in Spain? You’ll want a CELTA and to get your English level certified with an official exam.

I can't believe the cut-off is 59 years old. That sounds like ageism to me. I'm 60, but it sounds like I wouldn't be able to apply.

It’s a visa rule. In Spain there is technically no age limit for working, but they can place any restrictions on visas that they like. For teaching over 60 I recommend Mexico where there is no age limit.

RVF is bad. Didn't deliver on their promises with the scheme that they have the right to change whatever in the contract. Whoever was hired at the start were fine, but now whoever is there is awful. Blamed me for things I didn't do, continuously argued until I brought lawyer talk in, and I got screwed for listening to them. You're better off doing things on your own- there's more than enough help online
