great ideas... dragon fruit [most kids from the States wouldn't know that even in English, lol] we have yellow dragon fruit here (Peru), but it is too expensive for local kids to even eat... but gave me a great idea to bring a couple to class and share it with the students [after they say it of course].

Hey Jemma! Such great tips, thank you! I teach Cantonese as a second language to children, so most ESL teaching ideas are transferable. I have to teach children from 4 to 13 and occasionally adults, so I constantly have to change the way I speak and teach according to different ages and ability. Can be challenging but I have enjoyed the challenge so far. I spent all the time planning activities but neglected the intangible- smiles and looking at the camera instead of the screen. Thank you for your reminder! I can imagine it would be a lot of fun to be in your class. Reminds me of my ESL teachers when I was a kid in Hong Kong! Keep rocking and making great videos!
