No, they are not. There is plenty of real data now that these dogs are just dogs. They are not more aggressive. Their jaws are not stronger. In addition, even pit bulls cruelly trained to fight could be rehabilitated. The reason why the pit bull is listed as a breed most involved in bites is because people misidentify the breed.

Pitties aren't more aggressive. They ARE more powerful. Any dog, if not trained properly, can attack someone. I've never been so much as glared at by a Pit Bull. I've been bitten three times in my life, and all three were tiny dogs (all 3 were Cocker Spaniels). Since the damage was minimal, it never turned into a court case. We see so many Pitties on court shows not because the dogs are more aggressive, but because when incidents happen due to irresponsible owners, the damage is more severe and thus more likely to wind up in court. Having said that, just like certain kinds of weapons, I do think there should be more hoops to jump through for someone to own a Pit Bull. I'm always wary of them--not because of any inherent aggression in the breed, but because way too many dog owners shouldn't have dogs (like the defendant).

Yes Pitbulls are inherently more aggressive by nature than most other dogs. When they snap, they do more damage & they hit the crazy zone faster. Most are wonderful dogs but some are in the care of people who couldn't handle a stuffed teddy bear without it going badly. In my opinion.

I guarantee that she's also collecting as a "caregiver" to the mother (why is almost losing the house the mother's fault? The defendant KNOWS her mother has dementia and is surely there a lot of the time since she doesn't work due to disability--why isn't the daughter looking after the finances?) If she's living in her mother's house and not paying the mortgage, where is her disability money going? Why is there no equity in the house? I wouldn't be shocked if they found elder abuse and financial crimes (draining the value of her mother's house for her personal benefit) if they dug into this lady's history.

We finally get a dog bite case with a plaintiff that should be going ballistic, instead he is as cool as a cucumber. I don't understand why he started walking downstairs, knowing there was even a possibility of those dogs being around. I would always have a family member with me. He's 25 years old and according to him had been there many times. Not a kid, so should have a little more common sense. The mom was just a hot mess. She [or her son] should ensure have those dogs are locked away anytime guests are at their house. When JM told the defendant to get two jobs; by show of thumbs up, who knew the next words from the defendant's mouth would be, "I'm disabled / on disability " 😅😂

Lady does not get that putting up signs warning of her dog biting means if the state has a one bite law it is void for her and any bite will result in the the courts treating it like the second bite.
