That's a hilarious question! Not sure if you're just kidding, but in case you're serious, it's because the bed gave her sufficient space to move around while I sat next to her. I often sit on a floor, but this was more comfortable for me. This trick was part of a series I was doing for my students on tricks you can do in the air-conditioning during a hot summer. Also, when recording, I need a certain amount of space between me and the camera, good lighting, and quiet, and that room fit the bill. Does that make sense?
