Being a teacher in Houston, it made me chuckle that some schools released early due to the heat.. I’m sure it’s the same for you guys when we cancel school just at the thought of snow 😂

Loved the concept of the worry doll, thanks for sharing the book. Also love Each Kindness, my students were so quiet and sad for about 4 minutes after watching.

Love love the worry dolls and book!!! Just wanted to say how much your videos help me. Honestly... every Sunday night they come out and I need them! I go into a total worry fest every weekend... am I ready for school and are all my ducks in a row? All the little things I worry about as a teacher come in a flood and listening to your vlogs makes me calm. It’s like I’m sitting with a colleague just listening. I can potter and get everything done for the week. Thank you Bridget ❤️

So happy to hear you sharing Week in Math tasks from YouCubed. I did Four 4’s with my fifth graders during our first math class this year. I highly recommend taking Jo Boaler’s online courses. It has transformed my math instruction.

Love your channel! I like your morning meetings that you have. I teach 4th grade in Alabama, I teach math and science. What curriculum do you use for math? We use GoMath. Whole group or stations? I would like to know how you set up math class if you have time, activities and so forth. Thanks

Love your first week! My favorite was the activity with the doll for morning meeting. That was so awesome! I can’t wait to try it. I am using your morning meeting slides and they are such a great piece to my class meeting PowerPoint. Can you make a video on how you use dojo in your classroom. I taught first grade last year and my behavior management was a little different. I’d like to use it more appropriately for my fourth graders this year.

I like your idea on having students write about something positive. It’s a great idea! I do think though we need to be careful to not encourage children to avoid or bottle up the negative. Sometimes facing the negative head on is how we move past it, problem solve and let go. Does that make sense?
