You have to have a degree and a-c's in GCSE maths/english/science as well as passing your skills test to do a PGCE. you can do a degree in teaching which is called Bed degrees. few universities do it. some PGCE's are offered at masters level. so you can get qualified as a teacher plus obtain a masters at the same time - to get your masters status you need to do a research assignment during your PGCE. im doing my PGCE part time at edge hill

i think you can do cert ed... im on the pgce at cornwall college and we have students doing the cert ed without degrees. hope this helps :)

do i need an honours degree to qualify for teacher training? i am currently studying towards a BSc (without honours) via the open university
