I always wanted to be a teacher but not until now (at 54 years old) that I finally got my dream job! Currently, I’m a Teacher Assistant/Certified Substitute and in my Masters of Elementary Education. I randomly came across this video and it made me tear up. It made me think of when I was in school I never experienced a teacher that cared about me throughout all kindergarten - 12th. I remember I had one teacher she wasn’t even really nice to me/she wasn’t mean either…she was just fair and I sent her flowers that year, cause that year I swear my teachers either didn’t know who I was or didn’t liked me ( I had at the time undiagnosed adhd so I was a bit talkative, fidgety and I was kind of awkward. I also had an abusive mother who didn’t let me go outside. So school was like a way I could breathe and socialize). I’m in my very late 20s and sometimes I still think about some of the teachers that mistreated me and got away with it cause my mom was a single mom that worked a lot so she didn’t have time to even know what was going on at school. College though was a lot better, i experience a lot more caring professors.

Oh, Friend!!! Your videos always come when I need to smile or pick me up. Because life has been 🤯. I miss Faith chat every time due to fear. I’m such an introvert in the true sense of the word. Even virtual Bible studies give me anxiety. I’m praying and working through it, tho. Thank you for sharing your life. Prayer request: my family and I are struggling financially; I am my mother's full-time caregiver, and it has been the most rewarding but draining task God has tasked me with. I seriously have more bills/ debt than income and its stressing me out. Just please keep us in prayer for physical and mental health as well as financially. Love you girl!

My school is so dope! Our AP leads prayer in the morning and it has made all the difference in the atmosphere on our floor! I can definitely follow school leadership who are led by the Lord!!! These kids always trying to be grown lol I have to slow them down while I can because I do NOT play that and they know it!

Every time I see these videos I semi miss being in the schools while simultaneously having a PTSD flashback. I loved my students but that environment can be so overstimulating. Hats off to all the great teachers like you Ri 🎉

Hey love, I use Zearn, Iready and desmos for the students to practice on. I also use my doc cam and projector to demonstrate how to plot coordinates and graph equations etc.

Hi Rianna , your students are to comfortable with you, they treat you like you are their friend and not there teacher someone with authority, when you were talking to the 2 students about there attendance that was awful they don’t even care and that’s not cute . Hey!!! They're VERY comfortable but teaching inner city scholars is truly about meeting them where they are. There is a lot that they face that hinders them from getting to school on time like family, finances, lack of support and transportation which is why I choose to celebrate them when they are in my classroom. I know they're SUPPOSED to be there every day but unfortunately it doesn't happen like that for them. I just do my part to support and try to catch them up when I do have them in attendance. Just pray for these babies because they truly need it! Thank you so much for your love and support 💕
