Another means one more and a different one. It's used with singular nouns. Another can be used either as a determiner or as a pronuon. Would you like another ice-cream? Yeah. The ice-cream was delicious I want another. Other means different ones and can be as a determiner. Also, it can be used with plural nouns and uncountable nouns. Do you have other ideas for the new project? Other can be used as a pronoun with the word "any", but it's not super common. I don't see any another option. Others is always a pronoun and means other things. Some students understood the lesson, but others didn't.😊 The other can be a determiner and it's used with singular and plural nouns. It can be a pronuon and only replace a singular noun. I have two brothers. One is older than me and the other is younger than me. The other option is the best. The others is always a pronoun. I don't like these dresses, but I love the others I saw first.😊😊

You should respect the others You have to keep the other bottle in the fridge. Is that right?
@TeacherMikeEnglish
@TeacherMikeEnglish 5 ай бұрын
The first one should just be "others" not "the others" because you mean EVERYONE, not a specific group of people. But overall, very good!

While we were dancing, the others were sitting at the table drinking wine. This dress doesn't fit you. Try another one. Can I have another piece of cake take away?(or pick up?) These words are always so confusing. Thanks a lot.

Very good! And you can say "another piece of cake to go" or "another piece of cake to take home." "Takeaway" doesn't really work in that sentence structure.
