Sadly, yes. Theres plenty of people coming out of college willing to take their place. School districts are consistently lowering their standards and qualifications for teachers. Thats why we are in this mess and why our country keeps slipping in education. Todays AP and "gifted classes" are what the average student was taught a generation ago.

With that being said parents with children in school today need to stand by these teachers and support them and not let their Administration's fire them for standing up for our children! 💯 get involved at the LOCAL level! Go to school board meetings in your town and neighboring towns. Join your local town committee. Get elected by your community. Call your legislatures when you're having a bad day. Homeschool coops are modern and inclusive. Make your voice heard.

When I first started seeing curriculums that were going to be introduced as an Elementary Education major, I immediately switched majors. I'm now an Accounting major. I don't have enough patience to fight school boards, parents and feel disgusted by being forced to teach racism to kids. That's what CRT is. It's absolute racism and something I'd find in Hitler's textbook of Nazism disguised as equity.

As person of color & a teacher, I think this is scary!! My staff is also 50/50 on CRT! Inclusivity and Equity are not the same as Equality. The fact is that CRT is CAUSING conflict, inequality, and exclusion in education; which is a travesty to all children. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m a new teacher in Southern Virginia. I teach history and social studies. In short, I am just completely worried about the future of education. We are not teaching the kids many of the things that will help them succeed in the real world. The system is failing the kids and I don’t know much of an influence I and/or others can have in order to counter the failing system.

Back in 2003 I was shocked when my teenage nephews said they learned more history on Old school History Channel then history classes at school!
