Well said. A few years ago during our reading standardized assessment my little Madilynn raised her hand and said, “Mrs. Matsuda, what does this even have to do with reading?” From the mouth of babes.

Yes, sad but true that standardized tests take away the creativeness from teachers and suck the life out of our zest for teaching.
