My Id Yea sure, first & foremost important thing in Duolingo Test is Timing, one must practice on timing. Furthermore, I would suggest to go through all types of Questions. Also, I’ve heard from many that it’s algorithm wise so that’s totally right, like if you give correct answers your next questions will be tough. I would suggest go through this channel and you’ll be able to achieve your goal score, just practice more & more it’s ain’t that much tough test.

Amazing videos. Really soo positive and helpful content.Though, I have a query. I am unable to hear the audio properly in duolingo and hence my mock test scores have started coming down. If am attaching my speaker, its not reading the equipment. The speaker works for other content. And am highly doubtful whether my voice is audible without my earphones (which i regularly used for mock tests). I dont seem to find a solution regarding this audio glitch. Please help.

I think they tell you which ones when you go to do the practice tests. I have always used Chrome. I know Firefox will not work.

Yes, for some. It depends on the particular school- so check the schools you are interested in. For many its 105 for undergraduate and 110 for Graduate- but its best to double-check with your particular school. It will be on the webpage of the school under language proficiency.

You have to disable all those such extensions in order to give your exam. Otherwise your score will not be certified

Ma'am thank you so much for this difficult C-test question. But I have found that practice test is quite easier than real test. I have already done some practice test and as these are easy I have scored 125-135. But I'm afraid that if my real test is too hard and if I can't score good!

You are right, real tests have tricky words and questions while in practice test they ask easy. #LearnwithKrishna

Try not to worry too much. Just practice and you will be ok. The real test will throw hard questions at you- the important thing to remember is not to panic when this happens. Some may be too hard for you, and it's ok if that happens! They will give you enough questions to make up for some of the ones that cause you problems.

The truth is, I really don't know. I haven't figured out their logarithm. Most people score in the middle of their rage, so you'd probably be around 140, but I don't know for sure. Some people do better, and some people do worse.

I believe they send the entire certificate that you see, so I think that would include the subscores. I'm not certain of that. You could do a live chat session with them and ask. That is found on their website in the bottom corner. If it's closed and there isn't a person there, it will just say "help." When they are online live, it will say "chat" or "ask a question".

Hi sally. I just gave your this test and I did only one mistake in missing letter (omission) and one word I added in real English word. But mam one thing lossing my confiedence. I hate that for you! Absolutely the only thing I can think of is if you follow any kind of template, maybe the introduction statement could sound rehearsed. I suggest next time when you take the test leave off the introduction sentence completely- just start talking about your points. If it's writing, or speaking- whichever one they are telling you this in response to- I think its a mistake on their part, but since we can't make them change it, I think leaving off the introduction might help. Now it's only a guess- because I really cannot think of anything you could rehearse, except to always say something like "In my opinion" or something like that. Otherwise, I really don't know what they are considering to be rehearsed since you don't have the questions in advance!

I started making these because there weren't free resources. Everything I find you have to pay for except the DET website itself. There are other youtubers like Teacher Luke who make these videos, too. Otherwise, I really don't know of good resources. You don't lose those points, but you wont gain any either. So it does affect the score, but not by taking points away.

The way it affects scores is that you won't gain the full points. You get points for choosing the correct word and for not choosing incorrect words. If you choose the wrong word, you won't get the point for that word.

Look at your subscores and see which area is the weakest and start there. I think also read English aloud to help with vocabulary as well as pronunciation. The more you read in English the more familiar you can become with the words and that helps with identifying English words. Just keep reviewing the practice tests and also videos (mine and others!)

Hey..... don't judge ur level as per practice test marks.......work on ur weaknesses and take the real test without any nervousness .....u would more likely to get ur dedired score as real test is quite easy.....

What I Understood from that we must not forget to press submit after completing the answers, which means in case the time is over before submitting it will be a problem!

You can click submit, but I did ask- if you forget to click submit, Duolingo told me that it's ok- it will still record what you have at the time the screen switches to the next question!

No- but for example on the vocabulary, there are points for also not choosing a word that is not a word. So if you choose all the words, you'll lose points that way. Everything right is a point but not choosing wrong answers is also a point. They are tricky!

It's hard for me to know. I always say if you can afford to do one as a trial, it gives you a better indicator of the real score. It also depends on the score you need for your school.
