How much does the orange calculator thingy cost? And can you buy instead a rangefinder that does it for you?
@derekbelmont5071Ай бұрын
Kestrel… Kestrel Ballistics. $200 to $800. It does your wind, humidity, temperature. Bluetooths into your phone for data input so you can make adjustments. You’ll still need a rangefinder.
@IanMacLeansnvАй бұрын
@derekbelmont5071 thank you! How about the cost on the little speed sensor? And does it really use radar?
@derekbelmont5071Ай бұрын
@@IanMacLeansnv that looks like a garmin xero mounted there. They’re about $600. Necessary, I mean you noticed how the little difference in speed affected the shot going over the target vs hitting the plate. There are less expensive models of chronographs. Caldwell makes something ok to decent for a third of the money. The upper models link to your phone and use radar yes through the app. I guess depending on the model they’ll use the local airports info vs where you are exactly? Still researching that myself. With that Kestrel you’ll know your “in the field” data you need.

@LaviMcFarvaАй бұрын
This is a great video - gave it a well-deserved like. That said, it would be much more intellectually honest to state from the jump that she is an experienced competitor in a different rifle discipline, but that you're going to walk her through BOTH things that she already knows (correct shoulder pocket, tucking, points of contact, breathing control, etc, etc) and things that she needs to change for this discipline and things that she didn't know because it's specific to ELR, but you're going to walk her through everything for the sake of the viewer that has genuinely zero experience. At least at the end of the 1K right after saying "even if you've never done this before" you acknowledged the reality that she already had "perfect fundamentals". You guys seem like a good dudes with a solid channel, and I hope you grow beyond your wildest dreams - just watch the hyperbole as there's a fuzzy line between algorithm-hacking marketing savvy and click-bait that might pay off in views for one video but in the long run will just piss off the people you're trying to convert into subscribers. A title something like: "Can this 100m meter shooter NAIL IT at ONE MILE with a little bit of good coaching?!?!" would be honest and drive just as many clicks and probably have a higher subscriber conversion rate.
