in my country we learn mainly english grammar at schools at english lessons, and you're the expert in correcting your mates when they make grammar mistake but you can't speak fluently in some ordinary common daily conversation because of the lack of words and practice :D

actually I've been learning American accent but today I find out that British English is more and more natural and very interesting accent to learn otherwise this is the first time I watch (LUCY) English videos and I realized that LUCY is very good teacher and she had unnatural God given talent and there's no criticize the u are the best teacher I wish u more success and prosperity and all the best from the bottom of my heart . thank u very much !!!!

I have a heavy New York accent. New York accent is much different from the Standard american accent in many ways. We don't pronounce our Rs or sometimes in some words like talk or walk. People from new York, Boston, or rest of new England drop their Rs unlike the the standard american accent. Standard american accent is more common in media,movies and radio shows.

Lucy, you're right. I am Spanish.. I've always loved learning English. I lived in London for a year not so long ago and I still struggle not only with grammar but also with speaking (especially with speaking). Since education in foreign language is sh*** (sorry) in our country, we also have to look for private lessons which are quite expensive, and not everyone can afford it. And the reason why you have so many spanish students is basically because in our country, employers ask employees for an english certificate ( most of the times first certificate) even if you apply for a non qualified job. So yeah, that's our reality. Anyway, thank you guys for the great job you are doing. I do really appreciate it. big kiss. un besazoo guapos.

Hi Lucy, as a spanish native speaker I can tell you that it its true that we are very good in grammar because that's what teachers teach us at school, but it is very difficult when we put it into words. For me, it was a struggle but after studying and putting effort on it now I can do it. All you have to do is do is practice, listen and speak a lot. In my opinion, educational system in Spain for languages have to improve. Love your videos xo from Madrid! :)

That was a very interesting video. I will definitely check their channel. I find it very intriguing what you said about English people not having any clue about the grammar of their own language after they finished their education. It's something I have noticed myself, specially while learning German in Berlin. There have been some Students from the UK in my classes that sometimes strugled with very basic grammar topics, like identifying the subject of a sentence. Specially if German was the first foreign language they were trying to learn seriously. I think in Spain, as long you have a bit interest, you learn the grammar of Spanish if you finish highschool. And I wonder: what do you learn in an English class in the UK school system?
