Poor guy, he thought he was really on to something. Just because something is mentioned in the quran, doesn't mean that it automatically applies to us. What kind of logic is that? The context starts from verse 40 where Allah addresses the tribe of Israel (jews) directly, all the way to verse 74. This whole part of chapter 2 is addressing Jews only! So in this context Allah mentions in verse 65 those of the Jews that did not keep their sabbath and were punished for their transgression. He mentions this as a warning to whom? Exactly, to the jews, not to the muslims. Nowhere in the quran nor the hadith does it say that the muslims have to keep sabbath as well. In fact, the prophet advised us not to fast just on saturday or just on sunday, because that might be interpreted as following the jews' or christian's resting day.

Like i said, the context starts from verse 40 where the jews are directly addressed: "O children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant..." (nothing to do with muslims) Verse 41: "Believe in My revelations which confirm your Scriptures. Do not be the first to deny them or trade them for a fleeting gain..." Verse 47: "O Children of Israel! Remember ˹all˺ the favours I granted you and how I honoured you above the others." Verse 49: "˹Remember˺ how We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with dreadful torment, slaughtering your sons and keeping your women. That was a severe test from your Lord." And it continues like this for many verses, addressing the Jews. For us muslims it's only FYI

It makes absolutely NO sense for a christian to ask something he himself believes ended with Jesus. They said, AbulQasim, one of our men has committed fornication with a woman so pronounce judgment upon them. They placed a cushion for the Apostle of Allah who sat on it and said, bring the Torah. He then withdrew the cushion from beneath him and placed the Torah on it saying, I believe in thee and in Him Who revealed thee" Are these the actions of someone who believed the Torah had been corrupted? Here is a quotation from one of the earliest followers of Muhammad, "Wahb bin Munabbih said, the Tawrah and Injil REMAIN as Allah revealed them, and NO LETTER in them was removed" How do you explain this?

sabbath prayer from friday until saturday night. the important day is friday too, its in Bible too. .theres special prayer and dua in Friday for muslims too, btw also pray for at least 5 times every single day too. .the same like fasting. David was fasting every other day, Jesus fasting for 40 days, Moh fasting for 1 month ramadhan (around 30 days) plus lot of days in other months too. Adam, Noah and Moh was sent for all humanity, we follow the laws that prophet said to follow.

@@johndench628 The Muslim don't keep Sabbath. As prescribed by God that He never rest. It is said that He created in 6 days, but in the 7th day, He doesn't rest. God need no rest. According to prophet Muhammad pbuh, Muslim should wash themselves and pray in the Friday, leave wordly business in the time of Friday prayer. But doesn't mean we can't go to work on Friday. As God never rest the whole day and week and month and years. This is a command to differ from those from the Judeo - Christian faith. Even in appearance, we are to differ from them (Hadith). They grow sidelocks and moustache, the Muslim are ordered to grow beard, and cut moustache and sidelocks. The verse he (Christian dude) talking about addresses the Jews. Why they disobey God by keeping their work even though it's Sabbath. And etc.

@@johndench628 This is simply because Muslims are not Jews. Moses was sent to the Jews with a set of laws. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was sent later with a set of laws that were not identical to the laws of the Jews. So Muslims are not bound to follow the laws of Moses.

First of all , Quran is not like Bible , if something is really muslim should follow it would be explicit, clear and unambiguous statement. Unlike new testament , which is ambiguous about faith . The problem here is that guy is reading Quran as biblical account. Qur'an is not like Bible. In verse 60-62 , u can find about Moses . Nevertheless, Neither in Quran nor in Hadith it is said to keep shabath day . Qur'an and Hadith explicitly says about Friday.
