All you pug parents out there, how many commands/tricks can your pugs do?? Our pug Bernie can do, I think 17 different ones. Pugs, like most dogs are very food focused. Also, Pablo touching Winston's butt, I laughed so hard. It's like he's trying to make him sit.

Hi, I had a pug 10 years ago and I taught him a lot of tricks and there is something that realy works fast when you are teaching them. Try to use diferent signals in your hand for each moviment that you want, like one finger to seat, an open hand when you want them to stay and wait and etc. Good luck with your dogs, they are very beautiful.

@NICK_DA _WASTED_PUG my pug had probloms barking at other dogs until she passed. I would keep treats on me tell her to sit and give her a treat it helped alot but didnt fix it 100% but she was 12 when i tried it maybe you will have better luck!

Yeah when we get the treats out Pablo just all his tricks back to back without commands .. "there done them all, treat please!"

Good video. It was hard to tell from the editing. It appeared Pablo would "sit" early when you were teaching Winston and did not get a treat. Also, occasionally you would say "sit down" instead of "sit". We teach "down" as a separate command. The visual signal is placing your palm flat on the floor. For sit, the hand signal is a closed hand toward the dog and above their head (like the treat is in the closed hand). When 2 dogs are present, we say the dog's name, then the command. It is important that both animals get about the same amount of attention and treats when training together. Your session went very well. I think you could command Pablo to sit immediately after he has done it on his own and give him a treat to help with his understanding of "sit".

The moment when Pablo put his paw on Winston's back in and help them sit down was absolutely adorable and hysterical at the same time. Carl the only thing I noticed with Winston is that when he is making eye contact with you he definitely sits down on the First Command when distracted and looking elsewhere, I noticed that's when you have to say it more than once, just an observation.

Getting his attention is the hardest part, Pablo is great help in teaching but also a big distraction for him, training in short bursts from now on when he's interested :)
