Joel Salatin, 67, calls himself a Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist lunatic farmer. Others call him the most famous farmer in the world, the high priest of the pasture, and the most eclectic thinker from Virginia since Thomas Jefferson. He lives on Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley.
With a room full of debate trophies from high school and college days, 15 published books, and a thriving multi-generational family farm, he draws on a lifetime of food, farming and fantasy to entertain and inspire audiences around the world. He’s as comfortable moving cows in a pasture as addressing CEOs in a Wall Street business conference.

Can your editor pleeeease stop putting your ads in the middle of topics? This was the worst one yet, with it being directly in the middle of Katie's question.

We get to watch this content for free! I am so grateful, and consider watching ads a small price to pay.

@priscillalongworth1720 I don't mind the ads, but by the time it's over I can't remember the first half of Katie's sentence. I watch a handful of podcasts with ads, and NONE of them edit the ad into the middle of the speaker's thought.

Usually KZbin picks where the ads will go.

@susanspianostudio7057 I guess maybe ads isn't the right word. Not the KZbin ones, the ones the Voetbergs do: VMA, Get It All Done Club, Good Ranchers, etc.

And those 3 food elements bread wine and oil also need time. Bread takes time to rise. Wine takes time to crush and mature and olive trees grow slowly taking time

My Hero Joel Salatin. Great interview. Reminds me to bring a return on what i have been given to steward; four children a few acres, and let God decide if more is necessary or good for us and others. Thanks!

It depends on the job. Translators or doctors being paid per hour is hard work for little money. no dwadling there but I agree in general.

Who are the kids selling eggs to the parents to sell or customers and in usa do they have to pay tax
@caivail4614
@caivail4614 25 күн бұрын
I can’t answer for them, but I know that in the U.S. you don’t have to pay tax on a side job that earns less than a certain amount (it was 2k/yr years ago, not sure what it is now), so unless the kids are wildly successful with their egg business they shouldn’t have to worry about it ;)

You should read that story again, did the father give the prodigal son the land when he went to squander it? Doesn’t say that, can you buy boos with dirt? This guy didn’t say that his kids wouldn’t have an inheritance, he said they wouldn’t get the farm IF they didn’t have any interest (meaning a demonstrable investment) in the farm.

If you hear his story, all his kids received support. They just would not have received the LAND. Come back to us after you've spent 20 years cultivating your own dream.
