Quran (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

ruredred There is context behind that verse, which was a situation that affected the Muslims who has signed a peace treaty with the pagan worshippers who was persecuted because of their act of treason towards Muslims and towards their own tribe. You have to acknowledge the context behind it in order to understand it because that verse is recorded from a situational occurance, as well as other verses that was descended during that particular time.

I guess this information will be hurting you a bit, every christian scholar knows that what you quoted of jesus not stoning the woman in John 7:53 to 8:11 is no where to be found in the old greek manuscripts. you can check up for yourself. Even some bibles have a foot note below that verse informing the reader that its not in the original manuscripts. basically its man made again. so im still waiting for the above question answered??

Jay, peace to you always (Salam alaykum). A lot of what you say has merit and some things are absolutely needed. And I wish your statements about no hunger, war, crime and so on were true. But the problem comes in when you use the word "enforce". If you have to use "force" to get people to do something, for sure there will always be those who will rebel, even if it was to their own advantage to accept it. Islam is not really about force, is it? True Islam comes from the desires of the brain and heart working together to bring about submission to our Creator, obedience to His Commandments, sincerity in our hearts and minds to do it all for His sake, nothing else - and of course to work in safety, security and peace for ourselves and those around us. It's funny when muslims try to post verses they don't know anything about. Do you see the little word "TILL" in Matt 5:17-18? The passage says that Jesus came to fulfill the WHOLE law (moral and ceremonial) and that none of the law would be abolished until it was fulfilled. And Christ fulfilled it perfectly. If jot or tittle is still in force today, then we must have BOTH the Sabbath and animal sacrifices! DON'T try to post verses you don't know nothing about!!!
