Nathan sempre cosi casual, elegante e modesto. When the slab got crowded and slower he just paddled to the boat chilling and watching the guys out there. His session was the purest one, early morning, the sun showing up in the middle of the clouds colouring the ocean. God bless yourself and your soul. Ciao

You know I used to think I was pretty brave when a young surfer, used to think we charged, takin off on massive close out barrels and wedge like waves at my local east coast break-wall, but I reckon I'd pike out at chopes, just looking over the edge in some of these clips and seeing the bottom drain out, and the reef just roll up under you with a foot or two of water, that's enough to put anyone off. Some of these camera views are next level.

@godisbollocks
@godisbollocks Жыл бұрын
@@UKFdubstep2 I've seen plenty. Been following Teahupoo since before it was even famous. I remember magazine articles about bodyboarders Jack Lindholm and Ben Severson visiting Tahiti in like 1993, featuring waves that looked at least as good as Pipe, if not better. I remember thinking: "why isn't that wave famous??" A few years later it was famous. Mostly thanks to the 1997 Gotcha Pro contest, won by Kobe Abberton. Then of course Laird's wave in 2000 sent the break into the stratosphere. So yeah, I've been following the evolution of Teahupoo longer than most. I also have the 2011 Code Red DVD, and the book 'Teahupoo: Tahiti's Mythic Wave.' I know more about that place than almost any random haole you're likely to encounter in a KZbin comment thread.

How does the line up work when people towed are also present? Seems like 5 people being towed get a lot of waves that could have been paddled while 20 people wait, do they just get 1 then wait till everyone else has had a go?

Nate, I think you’re one of those few people out there who put these kinda music at the background, and I’ve heard Kai Lenny, Billy Kemper and a lotta big wave surfers say, “going out there on a big day is like going out to a war, it’s survival, it’s as going into a battle”. Which I think is really true and this music only intensifies it! Love and respect from Maldives! 🇲🇻

that one you pulled back on daaaaamn. like half a paddle more and you were in for a very bad day haha such good timing. paddling for something questionable at full pelt but still knowing your limit or slightly wrong position to the millisecond to get you out of trouble. king of natural footing chopes. you should somehow do a pov jaws video. maybe with a helmet? i know a mouth mount would be out of the question. i'd love to see footage of the way you all describe when you take off and look down it looks like there's no bottom. i haven't seen pov of that yet. i'd say you'd be the man for the job
