I love each MLP redesign I’ve seen from other artists. They all look so tasty. I wanna eat ‘em. Also this was a nice nostalgia trip, I remember being young enough to be playing with gen 1 and 2 toys. Really love seeing the evolution of these little horses over the years.

It's so incredible that, just based on the shapes you had started using during the sketching phase, you could tell which character was being drawn. Absolutely amazing work! Your art style is so YUMMY

this is a wonderful demonstration of style, no two ponies look the same, the face shapes are entirely different, but it's still clearly a set and all very YOU i love them so much you're a great artist I also love the differentiation between unicorn, pegasi and earth ponies

While I love all of the designs, I do feel that Rainbow being that dark takes something away from her. I adore that you made Fluttershy so tall and honestly enjoy her colors. Though she feels a bit TOO pink. The traditional unicorn designs on Rarity and Twilight made me quite happy, even if I wasn't too sure on the colors until the sparkles were added. I do like dark colored Rarity, even if I prefer the pure white coat. I will say, however, that Rarity and Twilight look a little TOO similar. Applejack and Pinkie are honestly exactly as I imagined them. All and all, this was a wonderful video, and I quite enjoyed watching your process.

Ngl, I LOVED that you made Twilight a bit dragon-y, AppleJack a Clydesdale, and Rarity and Rainbow Dash more darker in tone!! These were quite refreshing!!

i rarely like the redesigns people make but these are absolutely stunning and so creative, very unique but still stays true to their character, the color combinations are phenomenal, i just wish they had a series based on these designs man also im a sucker for correct unicorn anatomy and you nailed itttt!!!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of the beards on Twilight and Rarity. However, this is of course just my personal preference and in no way a nitpick about your designs. And it doesn't take anything away from how amazing they all look in your style! Their personalities just shine through. I think Pinkie has to be my favorite. I love how she especially turned out.

i really like these designs i think the only ones people wouldnt recognise if it wasnt labeled which pont they were would be rairity and fluttershy mostly because of the change in colour but i still love them so much

I love the designs and style you have! The only point that got me was Rarity's leg, the vet tech in me kinda has to wince at how broken her joints would have to be to turn her metacarpus that direction XD. Adore the work otherwise!

I love your art style so much!! That little thing you do with blurring a second layer with the line art? DELICIOUS! I also love the small detail with Rarity and Twilight sharing darker colored backs! Though I do have a little bit of constructive criticism: I noticed in your line art that there’s quite a lot of tangents-not insulting or bad or anything (your character design skills AMAZE me!)-just thought you’d appreciate some actual criticism instead of “Different design of popular character? @@Teakip Of course! It’s a compositional thing that’s defined (in art) as “when two or more lines interact in a way that creates a relationship between them” and it can be both intentional or unintentional. So like when the edges of two different objects touch, whether they’re on the same plane, or one is in front of the other. The most apparent one in your video is Pinkie Pie’s back legs sharing a line, but I spotted at least one in each design. Does that help? It’s a little difficult for me to explain without showing pictures 😅

Genuine question because I’m entirely self taught, I’ve never taken an art class outside of the simple ones public schools require. I suppose avoiding tangent lines would produce a clearer silhouette, is that why they’re avoided?

Hoping gen 6 or 7 we get these kind of designs into shows for kids cuz i think it would really stick with kids through their whole life.. also cuz i really like the unicorns, reminds me of the pictures and knicknacks my grandma collected throughout her life and compared to the current cartoon unicorns i more prefer the ones my grandma grew up with. :>

Lovely work! The only design I didn't care for is Rarity's because her coat colors are so drastically different from her base model. But she's also my favorite of the mane six so naturally preservation of her original characteristics would be more important to me than the others. Everyone else looks great! Applejack looks so relaxed and humble, the perfect kind of pony suited to wrangle in her fiesty wife lol Tbh I always thought Applejack and Rainbow Dash were best suited to each other, as honesty and loyalty are core family values and Applejack is all about family, as well as having a similary competative and sporty/physical strength-reliant side to her. And she's good for Rainbow because she can keep her level-headed and true to what's inside her, as opposed to letting her pride and hunger for notoriety skew her true faithful and kind nature. Rainbow is good for Applejack because Applejack is often the level-headed one in the group and can often worry more for others than herself, and Rainbow can help her maintain her sense of pride and strength to follow her own insticts rather than always self-sacrificing as a family-oriented person is often inclined to do. A good ballance of similar interests and healthy guidance on either side. But I digress! This ramble is brought to you by ADHD and hyperfixation lol

@@Rrrrrroaring20s then . . Don't watch redesign videos? I feel like real people don't work that way. Relationships evolve. Many people don't start out loving each other, relationships grow with time. And I think that can be true when depicted in media as well. Regardless of what's popular, lesbians will always be around too. And they suit each other very well as a couple based on their qualities and interests, so its not entirely unlikely. They would work as real people, so I feel personally that its also feasible in the show. And on the topic of them being horses . . They are horses with human personality. People are drawn(pun intended) to personality, and can relate to them. Its a natural progression of interest. And many of the characters do have romantic interests, like Shining Armor and Cadence, Rarity and the various boys she likes, Bic Mac and his girlfriend/wife(can't remember her name) and the whole thing with him and Cheerilee. If its part of the story already, of course people will have their own opinions on who suits who.

Lots of old European folklore and illustrations showed unicorns with beards! They actually would add more goat qualities than horse, often describing or depicting unicorns with cloven hooves, beards, and tails more resembling a lion.
