TEAM Aircraft, TEAM MINI MAX, TEAM EROS ultralight or experimental aircraft
TEAM Mini-Max Eros experimental amateurbuilt aircraft. In this issue we visit Airventure 1995 and talk to Scott Severn about the TEAM Eros.
The Eros uses is set up to use more powerful engines than the standard Team Mini-Max.
In order to accommodate this, changes have been made to the structure of the aircraft to handle the extra power, flying and landing loads.
In Greek mythology Eros was the god of love and attraction. We designed the Eros for pilots who love to fly, and you can certainly say it's attractive!
The Eros is the evolution of years of light plane design. It has features like
Heavy duty airframe, for large guys and large engines
24" wide enclosed cockpit
Steel tube landing gear no cross-axle
Easily removable wings
Streamlined cowling, fully-enclosed engine
Molded wingtips
Wheel brakes
Outstanding short field performance
In addition to all these standard features, the Eros has some pretty neat options. Like a convertible canopy. You can fly in an enclosed cockpit during cold weather or open cockpit when the temperature is a little warmer. Wheel pants "spats" to our friends in the UK and Oz really dress up the looks. And you can add a second wing tank to double the range.
The Eros built by Larry Isreal, won the Oshkosh Reserve Grand Champion Award in 1995. And Davy Lee Cooper's Grand Champion at Sun 'n Fun '98.
