The Haltech World Cup Finals is consistently one of the most exciting races we go to. First let’s talk about the obvious. The race is a breathe of fresh air, literally. Not only are you racing in the greatest weather conditions all year, but it’s a quarter mile event. While other racing associations switch to 1/8 mile for better racer participation, the WCF’s is one race that continuously proves otherwise year after year. The Miller family, the MDIR staff and safety crew outdid themselves this year. Track clean ups are inevitable at an event of this nature and they worked tirelessly all weekend to assure everyone that despite the oil downs and frigid temperatures, we were competing on the best track surface possible and it showed! Personal bests and record setting performances reigned supreme this passed weekend! In seek of that elusive 6 second time slip, our Late Model Engines powered and Procharger backed Camaro went a best of 7.01 @ 194 mph in the final round against teammate Valerie Farkouh/Clements and her Procharged small block Ford powered ’05 mustang! Valerie also flew to her personal best of 7.06 @ 191 mph in the final round as well! Two ARH equipped and Farks Supercars built cars in the final round at what has to be the largest, fastest and most anticipated event of the year is simply incredible.
