i have a pro4 i just got into the hobby. I was very disheartened in the last 2 times i took it out, once to a local friends track and next time at a actual indoor track. Everyone else's vehicle just seemed so much more nimble and lighter. Barely making any noise when they land the jumps, mine seems like a brick landing on the ground. The steering angle is not sharp enough to go around tight tracks it seems, and overall the truck just seems really heavy. I am realizing the truck is not for racing and is a basher. Do you suggest I switch to a different truck at this point? I don't know if I should invest any more money into this hoping it will perform better when overall it just seems too heavy.

The Pro4 is heavy but it is 4WD. I would try to tune it a bit more. See you your Tx can increase steering angle. Sometimes it is the servo or stock Tx that limits the steering angle and not a mechanical limitation of the steering bell crank. Are you racing with other 4WD SCTs or 2WD? If it is a 2WD, those things are light. The AE SC6 is awesome. I am not going to recommend you buy another one just yet. Let me know what trucks you are up against so I can give you a better suggestion. Let me know what class as well. Is it Mod, open, stock?

I see the sc10.2 kinda just “died” I’m seeing that some parts in the drivetrain are similar. Can my old spur gear/slipper setup be converted to the newer, cheaper one? What about the diff?
@telecomandorc2 жыл бұрын
I do not have one on hand, but they should be. AE has been using the same setup on all of their models for a long time. Usually if it fits a B6 it will fit an SC10. Even the SC6.1 and SC6.2 use the same as the B6.

@@telecomandorc I think mine is based off the b4

I believe you must use the b5 diff..

I always feel like they come out with new ones every year and it all looks the same to me. All those letters and numbers get confusing. Its like "Yo AE just gimme a name for your cars.".

😂🤣 So true. Just add a different decimal value or keep sc10 but give it a middle name.

With the weights removed on the 6.2 can you fix the balance issues with ride/roll rate changes?
@telecomandorc3 жыл бұрын
Good question. Those weights do counterbalance the weight of the body... so it lowers the CG a bit. But that is not why I put them on. I put the weights on and kept them to help with the pitch problem. Without them it always wanted to pitch the nose up making it hard to point it down and not parachute on jumps. For the rolling issues I put a B74 front sway bar and the same length shock shafts as the front in the rear. Night-and-Day. Now it does not roll or yew as much in turns.

I don't think AE makes a truck that isn't awesome. They all have a purpose, and they are all really good for what they are made for. How do you generally use yours? What surface?

@@telecomandorc I use mine mainly on lose dirt, out door tracks. I actually have 3 SC10.2 and 3 other rollers. I have plenty of extra parts.

On lose dirt the older SC10.2 has very good traction and still king.
