I was thinking the same thing. If you build a retro RC, building off a digital screen will ruin the experience.

I am glad you got yours! Thanks for the look through the contents. I am a little worried about mine, it is showing delayed in transit so of course the worst case stuff runs through my head! Looking forward to seeing yours built, I am still on the fence with mine. Enjoy the build Ari!

I Thanks for opening yours, because I am not opening mine. Never opened the first rere still sealed. I got mine from my local hobby shop. Great video.

Ah yes the Team Associated - RC10, the vehicle Jil Losi Sr. & Jil Losi Jr. helped create for Team Associated when they worked for them before starting Team Losi.

I ordered mine 2 weeks after the release announcement, had to wait cause I already shot my wad on the redcat fusion crawler, and had no idea about this. Who knows if there will be enough left for me. It is amazing how many people come out of the woodwork to buy any iteration of an rc10. This one was supposed to be limited to one per person, so maybe it will stop some of the horders, with unlimited funds, and a soft spot for this old buggy.

The box stand is awesome. Would’ve been cool if they had packaged it in bubble packs like the original though.

No Remote? No Motor? No Battery? I had my RC-10 when I was young, my whole family was lucky enough to race as our Dad had a good job. I remember having to buy a "servo" I think to upgrade the Remote.. what was the original called? When I traded it for a toolbox years later, I had a large collection of motors, batteries, gears and tires.. Damn I miss that thing!

If they were selling replacement parts I'd consider buying one. I sold my mint A stamp during COVID because it was just collecting dust (and the price skyrocketed). If I bought one of these I'd like to actually drive it and not worry if I break something. By the way, the original ReRe is about the same price as these now.

To answer a question you asked in the video, my RC10 CC kit that I'm building now (purchased Mar 2024) had the body inside a bag just like your 40th. I'm waiting on my 40th to get shipped.

That’s odd as my cc the body wasn’t in a bag , and the chassis was loose inside the body and scuffed the body , I contacted ae and within 48 hours a new body arrived

I rewatched my unboxing video of the CC... my body wasn't wrapped and the chassis was facing up and also wasn't wrapped which attributed to the inside the body getting scratched up. If yours was wrapped and not scratched than you're one of the lucky ones.

I got mine yesterday. The thing that I find interesting is that the chassis is numbered. However, You have to open the box to find out what number you got? Thoughts?

one of my biggest suggestions for the Clear RC10 was to laser etch something on the chassis and to have them numbered. So.... I'm glad Team Associated did that with this kit. I like the laser etching, the 40 stamped into the chassis and its a holographic sticker placed on the inside of the chassis. I like it very much.. However, much like anything you collect in todays time... I don't think these kits will hold value like NIB kits that are from the 80s and 90;s. How often do you come across NIB vintage RC10 kits... not often.. Tons of people are collecting the 40th anniversary kit to keep it as an investment. So in years to come, plenty will still be in circulation and will be asking stupid money.

@@RCRetro You are right, very few original RC10s were saved new in the box. They were raced and enjoyed. I do have an original "A" stamped RC10. I spent a long time getting the correct parts for it. I first tried to use the 30th version of the RC10. The parts are a different gold color. I wonder if the gold color on the 40th matches the original or the 30th? Sounds like a future video to me. I did sell all of my 30th parts that I bought for a lot of money just before this 40th came out. Not sure if that was a good move. Thoughts?

thats exactly what I did my friend. started building mine today.. Did Bag A, B and part of C. So dumb they send out kits and the digital code thing isn't working cause they never posted the directions yet... SMH...

@@RCRetro i have got mine done to the point of the trans basically waiting on a bearing kit. i never found spare e clips in my kit either. lucky to have some in my parts stash. so in the meantime am working on the body, going for the box art look for the most part, not the easiest build so far imo.

Nice one. I blame you I didn't even want this.. or the cc and now I have both.. just ordered this one. I already have my original from '86 that I built with my dad and I have a couple other mint originals. Absolutely no need for this but what are you going to do ;)

Just going to keep it a roller... No electrics. It would have been nice for Team Associated to come out with a vintage motor label like yokomo did for the Dog Fighter.

It doesn't bother me. There are so many digital scans of the original manual online plus you can use the RC10CC manual for this one. Besides all they would do is put the 40th logo on the manual they used for the CC... no biggie.

Yes correct. I got a little ahead of myself in the video and said "Produced In USA" and right after I shot the video remembered that AE was bought out and is produced overseas now. And of course looked at the box again and saw "Designed in the USA".
