MT10 is a great basher at a good price, also love the sister Pro 4 SC10 short coarse version. Re the Jumpshot, as we know it is a bad design using 48 pitch plastic spur gears with brushless power, you can upgrade to an Integy steel spur if they are available in Aus. Failing that you have to get them from Integy in the US, making then a bit expensive once you add shipping costs. However there is a pretty simple mod using the much stronger 38 pitch spurs from the Arrma 3s trucks, parts needed 57t spur AR310405 & Slipper pads AR310584. Only mod needed is to drill out the hole on the spur to 5mm, the stock hole is just a little tight. Its a pretty cheap mod to do.

Ive been eyeing off the Sc10 4x4 too ! Mt10 is just an awesome machine ! Ill definitely look into that mod for the hpi .... i have about 5 spare spur gears for it so ill use them up first 😅

goodluck i bought the last one in oz about a month ago then i bought the reflex mt 14 . unfortunatly im having servo problems with both or reciever .funny both failed within 3 hrs of new ,i got a mt 10 esc on warranty but its not that still got the green flashing light of doom on both cars im now in contact with the mt 14 seller as i want it fixed under warranty , even tried new reciver today still no go . must be servo or im an idiot who has no idea , might be the latter ,,

Personally for 1/10 I like my senton. Thing takes more abuse than anything I have including my slash ultimate and kraton exb. Love the thing!

Love your videos man! Got a bunch of small scale and and MT10 and XMaxx. I run on a similar track, and wondering what is your post run cleaning routine? Mine gets pretty dusty but hosing it off every time won’t be good on the bearings.

Thanks man really appreciate it I would only hose off if its muddy .... aside from that i blow all the dust off and wipe them down with a damp rag .... yes wouldnt be good for bearings wetting them all the time

In 1:48 you landed on the motor/gearbox with the HPI and I think, that the motor moved and then the spur gear got destroyed...I run the HPI for 6 months without any big repairs, but I dont do big jumps. I love the car, but run it on mostly flat surfaces for whelies etc. There are better cars for general bashing for sure.

That is definitely what destroyed the spur mate .... hard landing on the rear 👌🏻 But i have plenty of spurs that i keep just incase .... its a fun truck

This looks like great little machine.. im getting back to rc after 30 years or so... damn im getting old :).. i got myself a kraton v4 and a talion v3 slightly used. been upgrading them the last year and was thinking getting a 3s just to ease my selv back in the game.. I now know this truck is on my list, but what else should l consider? Liked and subbed

Hey mate thanks and i appreciate the subb Definitely the rival mt10 is a must have rc ... Its tough and goes real hard..... Its the rc i recommend to anyone that is either starting off into the hobby or just someone looking for a 3s .... Only thing that needs to be done to it is check and change your diff oils and use a better radio system 👍🏻

Problem with the Jumpshot is motor and gearbox casing are sitting very low , it hits ground and moves the motor from the good mesh , ruining the spur gear. i dont think , 48p or plastic spur gear ' material are the problem . Even if steel spur gear or stronger p should last longer. Jumpshot is just not designed for bashing.😉 No jump for the Jumpshot ...🤣

Hpi and their awful gun metal gears. It's irritating because they make decent stuff, then ruin them with things like that, which they could easily sort by spend a few extra dollars on some decent metal gears and screws.

Yea that is the disappointing part of this hobby and not only hpi are guilty of it ... Some of their models come with hardened steel diff gears and i never have an issue with those but some other models the cheap nasty metal they use blow

@kaosr.c Yeah, I know other companies use monke metal too. However the stuff hpi use is particularly bad, I've seen the diffs get chewed up on the first proper hard run. I have an old savage xl's like 10 years old now, I used to absolutely blast that and never damaged a diff. I think they must use far worse metal now.
