Nice run! Love my MT8. The Mojave 4S was my '23 COTY, the MT8 was my '22 COTY, so good...! I have videos on what I did to the shocks to eliminate the bounce. Sounds like you had fun, but I would have liked to hear the Karen rant edit!

The funny thing is that at this point I have run the truck a few times. And in every video, I go on a rant. When I watch them back I am like "why am I so mad" :) You were definitely one of the guys who convinced me to give this truck a go.

That 5s experiment sounds fun. I undergeared mine to tame it so it didn't blow a set of tires every run. 9t with a 2050kv corally motor. As for shock tuning, arrma 6s rods and pistons work majestically. I don't remember if i used the 1.2 or 1.3 pistons, but it made the world of difference in handling and landing. Plus it eliminated that pesky retaining C-clip garbage that associated used in it.

I bought mine the day you posted your purchase video lol. Had been thinking about it for a long time. Once I saw it came with updated arms and was 350 in ordered it. So. Thank you I love it. I would say you may wanna check your 4s pack because mines perfect on 4s. 6s is hairy but I agree with your assessment. This is a great truck! I'm still running the original arms and haven't broken it yet. Solid highly recommended purchase, especially for 350

Like you I was very reluctant to buy this truck after watching KZbin reviews until one popped up at an absolute steal and I had to have it and my god it doesn't disappoint. Absolutely love it my only gripe so far is the bounce. I do think the rear is overdamped. I have now changed out the pistons to some i have drilled extra holes in but yet to try it. Today will be the test

Dude it's been a great truck. I've now driven the truck around 6 or 7 times. The videos will be coming in the next few weeks. But this has been a fun truck. I haven't driven it as hard as a few of my other trucks yet. But I will. :)

I went out bought MT8 myself had all same thoughts 💭 you did , nice looking truck 🛻 and for 350 it’s even better than the Redcat imo , I didn’t get the upgrade package as he dug it probably original run . I was thinking 4s truck too, not everything has to be send to moon or run into the ground , junkyard collection shouldn’t be big as your nice rigs

Awesome vid! Seems like the upgrade pack really helped with the issues it had..Im slightly torn between that and the mt10.. Looking for a more of a monster truck experience as I already have a Notorious for crazy stunts.

If you like that truck, try a redcat kaiju 6s. They are insanely durable and wicked fast .

Nice! Lately, I feel like Associated has sorta faded into the background a bit as bashing seems to be dominated by Arrma and Traxxas. This MT8 seems like a fun truck to have in the collection, especially if you are looking for an alternative to the Big 2.

Nice run!! I noticed yours pulls to the left as well on backflips. Most of my breaks came that way. Doesn't do it all the time but enough to be noticeable. None of my other trucks so that, i wonder why?

I think this truck is a victim of first impressions with the original arms and turnbuckles. Maybe Team Associated shot themselves in the foot releasing the truck with those issues. I don't think other KZbinrs were malicious about it but most would not take time to follow-up and revisit the truck. TA MTs just don't have enough of a fan following anymore like they did back in the day when it was Traxxas vs. HPI vs. TA. Today Traxxas and ARRMAs will get that second chance to see if the issues can be addressed by the manufacturer or with some other upgrades. So far looks like TA addressed the problem with their service pack; anything else is just tuning or other typical stuff. Glad to see you took a chance on this truck, as well as folks like Razor who worked through the original issues.
