I don't play ranked in MW2, but this is absolutely how Siege matchmaking works, even in casual.

Ah yes, skill based matchmaking. At least in some games. Halo infinite had a shitty SBMM where you would lose like a couple games and win a couple, but it would be because they would change the enemy team to either be very skilled or very unskilled. No balance to it.

The funniest part is the LEAST TRASH player on the team was the screechy squeaker, 'cause he was the last on the team still standing. I walked in on my nephew playing R6 Siege, and he died in like the first 30 seconds, then proceeded to call every other person on his team trash while he spectator-mode watched them like some kind of pimply-faced back-seat-driver. I chimed in and told him he's the kettle calling the pot black, that if he's so good at the game, why'd he run into the room without backup like a damn nooblet? My nephew's friends heard me over the mic, and laughed their asses off. He didn't speak to me for months after that. My brother told me his dream is to be a pro gamer, and that I crushed it. I didn't apologize, and just told my brother my nephew doesn't have what it takes to be pro - especially with his attitude that his failures are always the fault of his team; the ultimate copium of the noob. I said I could wipe the floor with him, and I'm a so-so player, usually maintaining about a 2:1 K:D. I know that was harsh on my nephew, but he needed a reality check. You don't go pro by blaming everyone for your screw-ups. Own your mistakes, and learn from them. Combine that with practice and strategy, and sure, maybe he could go pro, but not with that attitude of his. I've been on the other end enough times, where I'm the last man standing because people don't fucking check their corners and work as a team, and then they criticize me for "taking it too slow," and "being utter trash." I have had a few search and destroy matches back in CoD 4: MW back in the day where such prudence paid off, as the enemy team gets bored, and searches for me. I'd fuck 'em up with a suppressed rifle while in a ghilie suit, then defuse the bomb, or, as they search for me, I arm the bomb, then setup an ambush to kill them as they try to disarm it. Or was I disarming and they were arming? I don't remember, that was like 16 years ago. Again, I'm not even close to pro, but I'm no noob. It did feel good giving him a reality check, especially since he looks up to me. Tough love is tough, but he's gotten better about that attitude.

I started playing siege again, and monty is exactly that. My 'teammates' have absolutely no shits to give to anything I try to protect them. When they’re not leaving me to the other side of the map or opening windows where they can get shot in the head while I’m still trying to reach them, some will look at a choke point, look at me, rush without me, die and trash talk me for not protecting them. One time on bank, a buck literally used me as bait to catch someone, causing him to lose the 1v4 that HE caused by making me die for his sweet 100 points. Another time on Oregon, an Hibana was standing in front of the main entrance. I open the door for her, walk in, gets downed, gets interrogated and die. When I spectate her, I realized she took the other route, leaving me on my own, letting the random cab interrogate me and reveal the position of the other two teammates, which then got killed. On Villa, I get in, walk for a little, gets downed, crawl away from the danger so that my teammates won’t get shot while trying to revive me. A Maverick comes in, ignore me, goes all across the 50 meters hallway and fucking die, letting me bleed to death. Thankfully another dude came in a revived me so we could win this round. So please, to all my fellow R6 players, when you get a big movable bulletproof wall like Monty, I’m not saying stay with him at all times, just try to use him to your advantage, that’s his entire purpose. And PLEASE, at least tell us when you’re gonna use us as bait. It’s insulting when you don’t.
