Pokemon #'2 in the 'how to use that pokemon' series. In todays video I cover Shadow Machamp in the great league.
I will go over why Shadow Machamp is so strong, it's strengths and weaknesses, play against the great league meta and then 3 teams you can use with it

IMO Shadow is great for flipping the matchup vs. Altaria lead. Rock Slide is 7-6, so baiting only saves you one counter and there’s actually no need to bait. This means you can securely win the 1-1, or take the 1-2 loss. Either way it’s a surprisingly great outcome.

I actually didn't know Sableye only takes single resisted from Fighting, yes I know it's half Dark but since it's full Ghost you'd think your hand passes through... that's also how it works in the main games btw, it's fully immune to Fighting. Glad to hear DD vid is on the way!

DD vid is necessary for me. I lost a match today when I lost switch with DD on a Bastiodon (running Flash Cannon). But these vids are what i've been desperately asking for help with from others on how to build lines. The only one I came up with on my own really is my Ultra Premier Classic of Walrein/Shadow Machamp/Chandelure (energy ball/flame charge). Keep 'em coming, Dan. I'm esp. intrigued by that Champ/GFisk/Nido line. Got two solid responses to charmers and Nido covers the fighter, but isn't Swampert/Water types sort of problematic?

I remember a few seasons ago, before Nidoqueen buff. I ran Azu lead, G Fisk, Shadow Machamp. Awesome team, all I needed was a shield advantage. Funny thing was I LOVED seeing Galvantula leads too. Azu would beat it the 0 shield OR I would get a shield and farm down with G Fisk and usually swap out at 100 energy and come in with Shadow Machamp and dominate.

No love for Golbat? Seems like a natural pairing for Machamp. Covers bug, Fairy, and Ghost (with shadowball). Plus Poison Fang is super spammy and great for forcing out shields. All you need is a good safe swap. I'm using Umbreon for the psychic coverage, but I suspect Licki or Snorlax could also work.

These are great because I've just built my shadow machamp and shadow granbull and were wondering what to pair with them. I was using shadow machamp with dedenne and alolan sandslash.

Well I’m discouraged and defeated and ready to throw in the towel. Started this GL after a 2 week break thinking I’ll hit Vet from 2366. Vet isn’t happening and it won’t ever happen because using the same line I used last tiime I’ve crashed and burned my ELO and have no healthy way to handle my frustration. I’m ready to quit GBL entirely

So I have found as you move up the meta changes. Same thing happened to me. I hit 2445 elo and then crashed and burned back to like 2000s but changed things around a little and clawed back into the 2200s take a breather. Make notes of the teams that beat you and regroup. It’s just a glitchy somewhat Rock Paper Scissors game so don’t take it to heart!

I have a tough time building those for GL too
