3:18 4:13 I didn't realise how insane Chen Lijun's physique is! He makes the rest of them look pretty tame and soft here. I always have a bit of anxiety watching them do their heavy jerk dips/rack supports/whatever with these normal squat racks. They come so close to missing the rack and you can tell they're worried about it. Su Dajin actually did fail at this at 2015 Asians. It would be such a shame to see them get injured from something like that. At least at Rio the equipment will be Zhang Kong, so maybe they will have the squat blocks they are used to there.

+danehb89 you're right, never realized how insane his physiques looks. tian tao's lower back though..haha
@AdamYac8 жыл бұрын
+danehb89 It is, indeed. Is it bodyweight related though? It seems that each step up in weight class, the less shredded the lifters look. Lu is a bit of both, but Tian is really massive, although a bit soft looking compared to Lijun.
@reddeltasev078 жыл бұрын
+Snirisa Gödel It becomes harder and harder to maintain the same level of leanness as bodyweight increases. Just a biological reality for 99% of the population.
@chrapladm8 жыл бұрын
+danehb89 Thanks for that. I was going to ask who is that behind Tian. He is like a bigger version of Lu. Anyways always a joy to watch these guys.

Is this the same Hookgrip from IG? Thanks for the videos. I tend to watch a lot of the competition lifts in foreign languages. Nice to see there are some English speaking ones although there isnt any commentary.

sometimes they don't bother standing up fully from a clean, snatch, and in this clean, a squat jerk

What are they doing at around 11:00 where they unrack and rerack?
@Hybridkepz8 жыл бұрын
+Jesse Dammann It strengthens your core like crazy. You can unrack a weight that's either near or above your 1RM and just stay tight with it for a period of time. Looks like that's what they're doing. It can also be used to get you more confident with or used to a certain weight before you "rep it".
@JesseDammann8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info, that's awesome!
@giulianoaltobelli58668 жыл бұрын
+Jesse Dammann it really helps your core but the main purpose is for you to get more confident holding so much weight "other words get the jitters out of your head"
