I remember him saying that Mercury was the best hand to hand fighter in the series up until that point, but I don't think he said he was the best fighter on the planet. That just isn't true (Qrow, Tyrian, etc.)

I will just say we don't know what Ambers semblance is, at first she was using her staff which had a wind dust crystal and a fire dust crystal in each end. after that it was just a full display of her maiden powers (yes you can have both maiden powers and semblance). Though it would be likely to assume she had a wind based semblance since she showed great control over wind and particularly favoured that element. For example Cinders semblance is being able to heat things (why she uses glass so she can change the shape on the fly) but now that she has maiden powers she favours shooting fireballs, flamethrowers and explosions since she was already familiar with the element

To summarize the villain hierarchy: Emerald and Mercury work directly for Cinder, Roman Torchwick is a master criminal who Cinder hired, and Neo is Roman's partner in crime, and is loyal only to him, not to Cinder. Adam leads the Vale branch of the White Fang, not the whole organisation, and the true leader of the White Fang isn't involved with Cinder's plans, but Adam and his faction are. However, as was alluded to even in this chapter: Cinder may or may not be reporting to someone even above her. Also to answer some other questions: Mercury lost his legs in the fight with his father, Amber (and all the other maidens) has the power of all four elements, and why Blake left Adam...all I'm going to say is...he's not a very nice person, to put it mildly.

So now you know how Cinder was able to take away some of Amber's power 😢 But in Amber's defense, I want to say that she fought against three opponents despite the fact that she is young She showed herself very well Cinder used her semblance in battle. She can heat objects to very high temperatures and turn them into glass. Her arrows and bow are made of glass. and Amber also used wind fire lightning and ice in battle Maidens Incredibly powerful fighters Thanks for the reaction, we are looking forward to the next episode ❤

Oh cool, I'm finally caught up. Can't wait for the next one, and let me tell you it's a very special episode. In terms of Adam and why Blake left him, you'll find out later. She does explain it at some point, but it's a bit of a wait. Just know that she has a damn good reason. I don't remember if it was this or last episode when you asked if we see all four maidens. So far with everything that's available we've seen three, but the series isn't done yet. There's still more to come, so who knows? I also want to express my greatest respect for this community for being respectful about spoilers and answering questions in a good way.

She was defending herself but Emerald ended up creating an illusion of her doing much worst damage which i am not sure if the illusion can cause issues to people but Yang was set up so when they showed the video screen, it made her look like she hurt him badly as far as I got

ok I haven't finished the after show talk thing yet but I really wanted to give you the play by play of yang and mercury's fight cause its fascinating I couldn't tell you till this episode without spoilers though and for some reason KZbin didn't recommend this to me so I'm late so first things first we know cinder and her team scouted all the fighters to learn there fighting styles and semblances there plan was always to cause a panic they wanted a catastrophe they thought the best way to do that would be too have someone cause harm but they couldn't be the ones to do it or there under suspicion but if there the ones to get hurt that's easy mercury needed to be the one to take the fall because he has mettle legs so he can seem like his hit without being out of commission but he needs to actually be hit witch is hard because the battle is called before someone's aura runs out here is where yang comes in her semblance makes her stronger the weaker she is so mercury's job was to get her as low as possible while not getting out so that her winning blow would nock his aura down completely he lost on purpose then he walks up behind yang whispers the "theirs not going to be a next time blondie" line yang turns around emerald makes her see mercury attack she fights back the hole stadium watches her attack mercury for seemingly no reason if mercury wanted to win that fight he absolutely could have he just needed to fire one more shot in his barrage admittedly yang was stronger than he anticipated so yeah

Yang can beat Mercury unlike Yang Mercury has no semblance at this time so Yang had the upper hand. That was also the reason Emerald used her semblance on Yang to undermine her. Adam Taurus is a faunus but of the bull variety hence his last name. And yeah Cinder jumped the hell outta Amber lol. The hierarchy of enemy power is the big bad who right now is unbeknownst to you. You won't see her til the very end of Volume 3 and I won't tell you her name not until you get there. After her though its Cinder underneath with Mercury and Emerald under Cinder but Adam and Torchwick act more independently but in cahoots with Cinder each to serve their own ends and Neo is under Torchwick. Hopefully that makes sense in the way I've explained. Amber doesn't exactly have a semblance basically she uses her weapon as a conduit for her fall maiden power. Mercury's legs are the way that they are because of how he killed his father which is also why currently Mercury has no semblance. His father took it from him and that led to his death. When a maiden's eyes glow that is them using their full power it is kinda like Aang and Korra. The maidens control all the powers of nature, seasons, and the elements. But yeah Cinder used a drain type Grimm to take a bit of the fall maiden power from Amber. Cinder lusts for power! When the screen goes to black by the way Cinder is talking to that big bad I mentioned earlier. Oh and Yang didn't punch Mercury she shot that man! But yeah man RWBY is goated! This isn't true. Mercury was born with a Semblance. He lost it because his dad took it with his and never gave it back. So Mercury lacks a Semblance in current days. Thanks for the edit! I don’t know… If you look at their aura levels at the end of their fight, Yang was almost eliminated… If Mercury was serious and didn’t want her to win for the sake of their plan, I would argue that he could have quite easily beaten her… And this was before Emerald did anything in regards to Yang, if I remember correctly… I believe Emerald’s only interference with Yang is to trick her into attacking Mercury’s legs after the fight… Coincidentally, funny how he managed to end up at exactly 0 aura… The perfect amount for their plan… Maybe it was complete chance… As skilled and powerful as Yang can be, especially once you add in her semblance, she’s hardly unpredictable… As Neon showed, she’s susceptible to mind games and has a temper… Often Yang can brute force her way through this issue… But what about when she fought Neo? Yang’s semblance didn’t matter there at all, Neo just redirected everything Yang threw at her… It’s hard to be sure Mercury’s upper skill levels, but he was able to give Pyrrha a little bit of trouble during their sparring before her semblance got involved… Regardless of maybe how mismatched the styles might have been, Yatsuhashi and Coco are still reasonably tough opponents and Mercury was pretty much fighting them both on his own for a while, possibly not even taking it seriously at all… He tanked a massive blow from Yatsuhashi, who is a beast… He killed his dad, a highly trained assassin… Even without a semblance, right now I’m pretty sure Mercury has the upper hand against Yang… Potentially I think she might still have a chance, it’s not 100% clear how Mercury compares to everyone exactly… If she gets the chance to brute force it then she’s probably going to win, but will she get that chance? Mercury is both skilled and smart about fighting… They’ve also studied Yang… She was likely picked for the fight because they were sure that she’d do what they wanted…

Adam's last name is Taurus which means Bull, Yeah his design really makes it difficult to see what he was at first. He was designed with Disney's Beast in mind." Also his name is taken from Disney's Price Adam but RWBY's version is the inverse of that character rather than alluding to it faithfully. I can't explain anything else since that would be spoiler territory. In the early days before people knew his last name or realized what it referred to, they used to call him "Goat Boy" 😂. But nowadays it's just to mock him. Oh..since you mentioned Dragon. Yang's last name Xiao-Long (小龙) means "Small Dragon" while her first name "Yang" means "Sun/or Light" using this simplified form of Hanzi = 阳 Some CRWBY facts about Yang. She was also loosely based on Bruce Lee's nickname which was "Li Xiao-long" because people used to tease him about his small stature. So he became Small Dragon. Bruce also wears a Yellow colored track suit in "Enter the Dragon." - In a RWBY Rewind vid, both Monty and an animator (whose name I forgot) based some of Yang's moves off of Bruce Lee which was a combination of Wing Chun, tai chi, boxing, and street fighting.
