Someone tell Alex Scott, it's a GB team playing and not just England. Just watched her live on the BBC, keep referring to the team as England.

Team GB were a strong side. I have an idea of how to improve Women's football in the UK and Ireland. How about a Great Britain Women's Premier Cup? Keep the Scottish, Welsh, and English leagues. But on top of European and domestic soccer have cross border cups in Women' soccer. We could have the big 3 sides in Scotland, Glasgow Rangers, Glasgow City and Glasgow Celtic. Plus all WSL sides. Plus the best side in Wales. Play a straight knockout cup. Or we could have Scottish, Welsh and maybe even Northern Irish and Irish Republic sides invited into the Women's FA Cup, FA Women's League Cup, FA Women's National League Cup or the FA Women's National League Plate. So they stay in their own national leagues, but play in cross border cups on top of domestic and European football. This would add to the scope of the trophies would do no damage to English women's soccer And yet it would help the Celtic club sides enormously. There could be games like Glasgow Celtic v Man City, Glasgow Rangers v Liverpool, Chelsea v Glasgow City, Cardiff City v Linfield, Aberdeen v West Ham United. It would make women's football in Scotland and Wales grow. The Scottish have been allowed to have Northern Irish and Welsh sides in the men's Scottish Challenge Cup. So UEFA would be OK. And travel would be noting compared to the trips teams do in Europe. Or that teams do in Indian, Chinese, or Australian sports leagues.
